With the 2018 finals series only a short time away I was thinking what are some of the greatest wins in finals. West Coast's Prelim win in Adelaide in 2006 after being 5 goals down at HT is the best for me. The game was also one of the greatest finals of all time with legends such as Goodwin...
This thread probs pops up every year. however after watching the classic last two minutes of Port v Saints 2004, I witnessed an extremely underrated moment. It involved Shaun Burgoyne diving to knock the ball away from Brent Guerra who would’ve soccered through to level the scores with under a...
I bet not many AFL fans would know about this issue, but is affecting the QLD teams of the competition. It involves Stadiums Queensland and there massive tax on QLD sporting teams including the Lions and Suns. This is a massive reason why clubs such as the Suns are handed massive amounts of AFL...

As it is Prelim Finals week, what prelims do you think were the 5 best since 1995, (before 1995 isn't really my time)
For me, I would go?
5. Western Bulldogs vs Adelaide 1997
4. Pies v Cats 2007.
3. GWS v Bulldogs 2016
2. Port Adelaide v St Kilda 2004
1. Carlton v Essendon 1999

I have very good inside information with a mate who works in AFL circles, telling me that Andrew McKay, Carlton football boss, has put Brendon Bolton on his last chance, due to disrespecting staff. Of course as a fan I would want Bolton to stay, but very interesting news.
In dark times like now and all we feel is that things won't turn around, we need to look at positives. Hopefully the mods approve, but I would love this thread to stay, and just talk about the positives. Of our players, our gamestyle, stats, media, you name it. Positives only in this thread, and...
Changes and game talk here. Changes will and need to be made with hopefully Gaz, Rory, May and Matera back. My changes if these 4 are available would be:
Out: Sexton, Lonergan, Lemmens, McKenzie, Bowes
In: Ga, Rory, May, Matera, Brodie
Go SUNS
Changes posted here and thoughts for game. Hopefully the boys show some fight and stay in the hunt throughout the game.
Outs: Lyons (ankle), McKenzie (omitted), May (hamstring), Sexton
Ins: Hallahan, KK, Brooksby, Brodie
If KK is not right i would blood Scrimshaw for his debut
Mainly interstate players are seen as underrated, and right now, I'd have to say Dayne Zorko and Jarryd Lyons are the most underrated players in the game right now. Who sticks out as underrated to you?
Must win game this week. Expect experienced players to come back.
Hopefully Gaz comes in and plays game 300th.
My changes would be:
Out: Sexton (omitted), Lonergan (omitted) and Shaw (omitted)
In: Ablett, Rosa and Brodie
Brodie had 28 and kicked 3 goals, hopefully comes in. Hanley may miss...
Come on boys, Cats haven't beaten anyone who is a top 8 side, maybe except St. Kilda. Again not expecting a win but I want to see effort and nothing but effort till the final siren. Changes for the week, Out: Lonergan, Bowes (rest), Shaw, Rosa (concussion) and Leslie. In: May, Thompson...
