As a GWS (& North member) I can understand GWS losing Shiel and Lobb due to the salary cap squeeze but it will be very disappointing if Scully goes too - I think it is imperative to keep Scully, such a good runner, leader by example and important player - sets the standard of hard work along...
GO EAGLES IN THE GF!
Optus Stadium is obviously a brilliant stadium however I think the capacity should be increased to 80,000 ASAP.
I believe the stadium was built to be able to add 1 more level to increase the capacity however I stand to be corrected.
West Coast need an 80,000 plus stadium...

If the AFL award Carlton the first chance at the state wide players first from what I know they could do worse than picking Sam Collins from Box Hill as a defender, hopefully they don’t miss out like they did with Kane Lambert.
I just heard Paul Roos on Triple M get asked how many times he has been asked to join a footy department since he finished at Melbourne FC.
I think any rebuilding club would benefit from offering Roos a created specialised football director role - his knowledge and ability to set the right...
It’s stating the obvious that Shaun Burgoyne is a brilliant player & has been for a long time, but he’s also a very good defensive player with tackling a key strength of his. Not all top players are good tacklers as well - he’s one of them!
Solid credit to GWS/Leon Cameron to be 3rd after their poor start to year and significant injury list which has included 2 of their best players in Greene & Scully most of the year.
In my personal opinion Simon Lloyd, current Geelong FC football manager is the next senior coach for the next club that needs one - huge football experience and like Fagan, would come from a football manager role.
Over the years everyone who has worked with Chris Fagan at AFL level have spoken so highly of him in interview’s - and it looks like a great move Brisbane appointing him senior coach - they are heading in the right direction. Credit to Fagan.
All respect to David Mirra playing his 1st AFL game today for Hawthorn after a good long VFL career- he looks like a solid AFL standard defender straight away. Great effort by him to keep persisting.
Was happy to hear Michael Christian on SEN replacing KB over summer- I listened to Chrisso and McGuane on 927 for years until they got replaced, also has Mick McGuane on for an hour each day.
Great move by SEN and great loyalty Chrisso & McGuane have together!
Just watched Bachar Houli on channel 7's AFL game day- very good speaker and good man, it probably goes without saying but looks like he will have a big future in AFL once he retires - probably football administration.
Richmond will be keen for him to stay at the club once he retires I reckon!
What show did people watch last night? I watched the Front Bar, I think it's better than the Footy Show, the Footy Show cringeworthy these days.
Personally I think Talking Footy is the best AFL show on TV though.
After winning his 2nd VFL flag as coach of Port against Richmond today I would love to see Ayres offered an AFL assistant coach role or an AFL club's VFL coaching role - deserves consideration in my opinion.
In my opinion one of the best football brains in the business is Mick McGuane - a successful local coach as well.
Any of the AFL clubs could do a lot worse than employ him as a part time strategy/development coach.
