This 1000%. That's all footy media is now, they build teams up one week just so they'll have something to shoot at the next week. It's so lazy and it must pay well because I'd be bored with my life if that was my job.
It's amazing looking back at that team and wondering how on earth we nearly pinched a flag with it. Sad ending of course but I honestly wouldn't have it any other way these last 5 years (wow has it seriously been that long?)
It's almost Dayne Beams 2019 tier. People falling head over heels to get a big name signing without asking why or what need will this player actually fill for the team. If he's coming, he's coming for cheap otherwise I'm not even remotely interested.
yeah look you're right, Craegus who has run countless AFL-based design competitions over the years, contributes to discussions surrounding AFL uniforms and who he himself watches AFL has no actual interest in AFL, 100% spot on!
Nothing about that post even so much as hints at "shoving NRL down...
I'll hold your hand on this one
Footy Jumpers AND Graphic Design. Meaning all areas of graphic design be it anything sport or not. Drawing upon other sports and leagues and how they've approached designs good and bad is an everyday occurrence on here so I'm sure you'll hate this place...
I think it most definitely can work when the yellow is bordered by the blue as shown on FT's version (left). Even this concept made over 10 years ago by Greater Gattsby (right) shows it can even work with blue wings.
If the Lakers can rock this kit for as long as they have I don't see why the...
That all white kit looks sick, I think FT did something similar when the new Eagles logo dropped but would be an awesome kit to bring out for Gather Round next year. Reminds me of the LA Lakers 'white-out' kits
Yeah agree, as someone who was there it wasn't a fun game to be at and it was a pretty poor display of footy at the end with such a low score.
2007 PF was the earliest game I remember watching and so 2010 had a profound impact on me seeing us get revenge over the Cats as did 2011.
2018 was...
Had a go at tweaking the logo a bit a few years ago, works slightly better than the current clash when inversed. But honestly the normal logo on the clash has started to grow on me a bit more. Would be nice if they started wearing blue shorts with it when white shorts aren't completely necessary.
It just goes to show things most would consider 'old' or 'out of style' like monograms cant still work in this day and age and if anything can work better with the design capabilities we have now. It's just a magnificent piece of work from the CargoLocomotive
How hard is it for them to just use a brighter purple? Or better yet, add white into the mix with a gradient like from what it looked like in the promotional pictures from last years one. I think I like this outline look better if I'm honest. They've fumbled this a bit but hey credit where it's...
All it needs are small tweaks to make it a good logo as far as AFL standards go. The other logo is just unfixable, I've tried. For what it's worth I really like the new wordmark, easily better than the previous one.
I'd be amazed if some version of this hasn't been done before but a bit of a combination of the racecar stripe design with a 'T' design.
Prison bar vibes but maybe a bit too close to Adelaide vibes.
Something like this? Had this initially but figured there were already a lot of red-based jumpers in the league but it does look alright as a clash/alternate kit
