What are the main occupation areas that VAFA clubs assist with or is it all areas ? Also what are the biggest clubs throughout all divisions/sections ?
Where do SANFL players play if not selected for reserves, do they play in local leagues. (Would like some examples) or do they simply not play unless/until selected?
How much is the average league player paid and how much is the average reserve player paid. I've heard of a massive difference between them so just wondering if a more reliable source can let me know. I think both should earn a good payment SANFL is the hardest league in Aus below the AFL imo.
Is it safe to assume that the league is of pretty high standard in comparison with other vic/nsw country leagues? And that all senior players would be getting paid at all clubs?
whats the style of the GDFL like in general? is it open and expansive not as physical and super fast paced. Or. contested and physical and relative speed. Answers would be appreciated. and would all seniors at all clubs be getting paid or just the best few players at each club ?

is the VAFA actually an amateur league? If so, what attracts so many great players to play in it when they could be earning good $$ elsewhere nearby for the same commitment
Is the salary cap still at 60k for the season. Seems like a small cap for the talent in some teams ? under the table deals. Kye Chapple would have to be on decent coin, along with Dixon from cutters and Flint from hawks
Predictions for BD Cup
B&F - C Haswell
Rising Star - Jason Roach
Leading Goal Kicker - P Gillingham
Premiers - Cardiff, just see them as being too strong. Despite the loss of Yensch, Price they have recruited well and will be hard to stop. Good, professional program over there only see them...
Seriously Premier League players aren't paid ? I thought they all would have been on decent money per game. How come so many from Victoria, SA and other states come up to play ? , surely it isnt viable paying to live up there and not receiving anything to play? Do clubs work something out e.g...
News I have heard is that Cardiff have lost Yensch ? Has he gone back to the O&M anybody know why? He will be a big loss for them.
Rymer from Nelson Bay also gone to Broadbeach good to see he is testing himself at a higher level in the QAFL.
Killarney Vale have picked up a few with NEAFL...
Thanks that info is extremely helpful, good to know that Div 1 is obviously still a high standard. Although I would assume that only Premier League players receive match payment ? or do Div 1 aswell ?
So premier league is quite a high standard, I noticed there is a fair few young 16/17 year olds that get games. Thought an average vic reserves player would get a game in prems obviously not ?
Hey guys would really appreciate some help. Im 19 and playing up in AFL Cairns Reserves so not a very high standard comp but still not rubbish level I dont think. I'm looking at moving down to Victoria to test out playing down there and was wondering what the standard of various...
Open to moving to any area honestly and the goal would be seniors but I wouldnt mind reserves, ideally I'd like to get match payments (if they pay reserves) as our seniors do up in cairns. So i can have a bit of money whilst i study, not looking for a pay packet though just a good club with good...

do clubs in nt help average players find accommodation etc. or is it only for the topflight players recruited from down south. Also, how does the standard of the NTFL stack up against leagues in country victoria ?
just wondering what blokes do who dont play thunder or travel from down south. e.g. those that are permanently in darwin. what do they do to play when the 'winter' season rolls around ?
