I think it might be an initial 4 periods for the VFL team and then 4 periods for AFL, with the AFL starting around the time to Kayo stream starts but I’m most likely wrong. Last year it was a heap of quarters with the VFL squad playing towards the end….

It may be that a final decision on him needed to be ticked off by the board, which may not be a quick decision. With members, sponsors etc. taken into consideration it was likely then deemed too much of a risk to take him on.
