We did extremely well in the AFL considering the hand we were given, but that was almost 30 years ago.
We’ve dealt poorly our post-flag seasons and completely derailed after the 2007 GF debacle. Still, after the O.C.I. and the move to (P.)A.O., we were back on our feet. The bad football...
GWS in Minor Round (2016-2025): 4th, 4th, 7th, 6th, 10th, 7th, 16th, 7th, 4th, 5th.
They underperformed in Finals in the last two seasons. They did ok in 16/17. They overperformed in 18/19/21/23.
Yes. On the other hand, GC had similar concessions with way poorer results. Moreover, I think that GWS did better in Finals than in the Minor Round.
It doesn’t seem too simple to judge its accomplishments. Kind of mixed bag, but I can see what you mean.

I knew we would have down games. I was just hoping it wouldn’t be this week. Alas, it was — and we lost it by 5.
I can forgive bad Showdowns with a win. The loss makes it all worse. Let’s see now whether we can rebound.
Growing pains.
We were outcoached and outplayed the whole night. It was very annoying.
The game shouldn’t have been close, but we never gave up (I mean, I did; but not the team). Yet, we were 10 seconds away from winning it.
I’m gutted. Too many different feelings at once. I’ll rationalize all later, but...
