So, is the basic take-away from this article that the AFL have to do more to cripple Richmond and to punish us for making the most of our opportunities?
Because it sure sounds to me like Ralph thinks it a bad thing that we get reward for being a well run club and that Norf aren't getting enough...
Well, that was a season where I felt like we never quite got into top gear.
Great to see some kids given a run and have loved particularly what Bolton has brought this season, but a bit sad to see some of our stalwarts either handing up the boots or playing like they ought to.
Was a "meh"...
On Hird -- spot on. I don't know why any sane person thinks he has the ability to turn things around. He clearly won't resolve their issues at board or admin level, but I suspect that might be part of the point. I reckon the powers that be at Essendon are desperate to hang on to their positions...
Don't worry Andy. It will pass.
You'll forget all about how bad 2022 was when next season starts and you have the chance to experience a whole new set of disappointments.
You'll have to use it whilst you can.
If past behaviour is anything to go by, the moderators will make it autocorrect to "Premiershipton" when they win the flag.
On my reckoning, you've only got another 75 years or so to use it.
Even if she won't drink them, she'll still want them as a souvenir.
It's been a year no Carlton supporter should forget!
As an aside: does anybody know if they're doing an Essendon edition too?
Yeah, same.
They were pretty lippy back when they were convinced they were a flag chance and we were missing finals.
They won't be laughing quite so hard tonight! :)
My biggest issue with Geelong at the minute is the idea that their current president came straight from a position with the AFL where he was responsible for inacting rules that advantaged Geelong.
That, at the very least, looks corrupt. Personally, I think it's actually corrupt.
I don't really...
The entire club is infested with a sense of victimhood and denial.
I was talking with a Geelong supporting mate today and we both think that Essendon's biggest problem starts with their board and a refusal to take responsibility for their club's past actions.
Say what you like about Geelong...
It's impossible to overstate the value of good club management.
I remember when we were a train wreck in that area. No wonder we were so poor for so long.
It was the turn around in our board and administration that made our onfield success possible.
Essendon are going nowhere until they have...
Just the idea of Norf not being utter sh*+e really dissapoints me.
I guess we can still point and laugh at the druggies, but it just won't be the same if Norf become even remotely competitive.
