Moore and Stewart are much more mobile than Weitering - which enables them to create on offence and have greater coverage on defence. Weiters unfortunately does not have that speed.
Marchbank can do this, is a better interceptor and isn't prone to 2-3 costly howlers a game (which Kemp has done in the last 3 games he has played).
I would be surprised if it's not both Young and Kemp out (unless Kemp goes forward).
I know how hard it is. Trust me - being a near 30s Carlton supporter, I get it.
But as an outsider looking in, I can see it with North. I can see the success coming. You have the top end talent now. You have the coach. You have the culture. Keep the faith and you will get there. I don't see it...
Interesting views - I thought our pressure outside the contest was outstanding and the tackling was strong. Pressure rating and tackling statistics were all significantly in our favour and kept us in the fight. What almost cost us the game was the clearance and inside contest, as well as...
Have seen a ton of commentary on socials/bigfooty from opposition about our 'wins'. These people can dress it however it pleases to help them feel better.
These are the facts: We are 2-0 after two brutal games missing 6/7 best 22 players. We now have 15 days off. Marchbank, Weitering, Motlop...
That forward mix doesn't have capacity to provide enough forward pressure IMO. Coleman and Wilmot will waltz it out of their D50 with ease.
Would be very surprised if neither Owies or Durdin are not named given both are available.
with ball movement sure, but not leg speed.
You cannot believe that Brisbane's midfield has significantly more leg speed than ours? How about Geelong's 2022 premiership midfield? Selwood, Guthrie, Atkins, and Dangerfield?
Cripps, Hewett/Kennedy, Cerra, and Walsh with spurts from Williams...
Agree 100%.
You could see it with their goal celebrations, chase-down tackling.. even Goodwin after the game was stoked giving big hugs to the boys on the bench.
This win meant a lot to them - as did our win over Collingwood last pre-season (i.e., erasing mental demons). 'Football is played...
I agree, but also feel like much of their 'pure' entries can be attributed to our defenders falling asleep/not working hard enough/sleeping?
There were maybe 5-6 occasions where their forwards had 10-15m of space. Can anyone at the ground provide an explanation? I couldn't believe how much...
Unfortunately haven't seen anything from Young that suggests he has found his 2022 confidence and decision-making.
Hopefully Durdin and Marchbank are ready to go until Weiters returns..
