Review Round 10, 2021 - Brisbane Lions vs. Richmond

Only thing better than our performance is the saltiness of the Richmond supporters, Half of them weren't even supporting the team 5 years ago. Wish we could have another Robbo and have him 5 years younger, really hope T.Berry becomes our next Robbo.

Preview Round 10 v Richmond, 7.50pm Friday 21st of May @ The Gabba.

Would be good to see T.Berry trialled as a defender, looks like he would be able to lockdown a small fwd and also provide some run out of the backline.

Preview Round 10 v Richmond, 7.50pm Friday 21st of May @ The Gabba.

Disappointed Richmond have so many injuries, You just know no matter how well we play the media is just gonna talk about their outs. Also think we would have beat them even if they had a full side and we had all our outs as well.

Review Round 9, 2021 - Gold Coast vs. Brisbane Lions

Great win by the team, but can we give some credit to Linc, he is having a great year and has taken his game to another level lately. The media and the rest of the AFL do not know it yet, but I think we are a lot better than the past 2 years, feel like a bunch of players have seen massive growth...

Draft Review 2016 - Revisiting the 2016 AFL Draft

Much rather what Florent does with the ball than McGrath, he is too panicky with ball in hand. It is an extremely hard draft re-do though.

Draft Review 2016 - Revisiting the 2016 AFL Draft

    1. McCluggage 2. Bolton 3. Taranto 4. Stewart 5. Florent 6. Daicos 7. Berry 8. Marshall 9. Ryan 10. McGrath Such a good and deep draft, surprised Florent is being left out by a few people. Next bunch of players would include: Ridley, Parfitt, English, SPP, Bowes, Darcy, Ainsworth. With still...

When will the Carlton FC Arrive?

They will never arrive, they have built a list that at best will finish 4th-6th (At Peak). They don't have the talent to be winning flags, I actually like the club so I hope I am wrong, but I just can't see them challenging with the current list.

Review Round 8, 2021 - Brisbane Lions vs. Fremantle

Only reason I find the last quarter to be a negative, is that it has been a common occurrence in most our wins besides against Collingwood. We need to really beat teams, especially with how important percentage could be for us this year. Positive of it is that at least we aren't a team of...

Opinion Who are the League's most UNDERRATED Players?

Sexton can't get a game at the suns, not sure why he be their captain.

Opinion Who are the League's most UNDERRATED Players?

Touk Miller, Darcy Gardiner, Cam Guthrie, Oliver Florent, Jarryd Lyons and Nick Haynes.

Recommitted Harry McKay [re-signed to 2023]

I asked that as well, the response was Suns are not willing to let go of their core youngsters and picks is where they hope it will get done.

Recommitted Harry McKay [re-signed to 2023]

Heard it from the same guy who told me Suns were getting Ellis, the suns have tabled a monster offer to Mckay with potential captaincy in the range of $7-7.5 Million over 6 years. AFL is also extremely keen for it to go ahead in the hope that the rest of the suns players get around the team...

Review Round 7, 2021 - Brisbane Lions vs. Port Adelaide

Talk about a response from Harris, absolutely dominated. We made power look second rate, they never looked good.

    2021 Draft and Trade thread

Not sure if you are aware, but there is something called a salary cap. Unfortunately you can not just have a team full of A-Graders, you need some role players. Mclean and Clark would both be great value pickups.

    2021 Draft and Trade thread

Personally do not think we should target Merrett, I think instead 2 potential good value pick ups would be Toby Mclean and Jordan Clark. Both on the outer in their sides and offer us some good speed and flexibility in positions. Also i wonder if Ashcroft Jnr has a good year if we will trade...

Unofficial Preview Changes & discussion v Port Adelaide Round 7 @ The Gabba.

Silver lining to the Neale injury is Mathieson should get a good chance to play, I remember when he first started off his was ahead of Parish, so hopefully he can try get to a similar level to him.

Review Round 6, 2021 - Carlton vs. Brisbane Lions

Sorry for being negative above, the team performance was amazing and underrated against a side that were fired up and brought everything they had in the 3rd Q only to break even and lose the match.

Review Round 6, 2021 - Carlton vs. Brisbane Lions

Based off what Fagan and Coaches say, yes match selection is 99% of the time based on form. I understand it is Harris, but Imagine it was Payne or Adams who had the same start to the season Harris has had. Tim English made Harris look second rate.

Review Round 6, 2021 - Carlton vs. Brisbane Lions

I was being stupid he won't get dropped and shouldn't, but if the form continues i would think moving him to forward or just trialing him somewhere else. No doubt he comes out this week and blankets Dixon like he did last year, which would be great.

Review Round 6, 2021 - Carlton vs. Brisbane Lions

Been a massive fan of Harris since his first game, but he has been piss poor all year. Mcdonald, Cox, Hawkins, All the dogs fwds, Hooker and now Mckay have all got the better of him. He has been worked out that he just tries to play 5m in front of his direct opponent and it does not work...

Review Round 6, 2021 - Carlton vs. Brisbane Lions

Good game after QT by the team, the midfield really lifted and controlled Cripps. But hate to say it but Andrews needs a week off, he has been destroyed the past few weeks and it was noticeable being at the game how bad he is performing. Birchall and Andrews need to be dropped, they can't be...

Preview Round 6, 2021 - Carlton vs. Brisbane Lions

Carlton are not as bad as the media are saying they are, very typical of the media to go after a Vic club after a bad loss though. Saying that, we started our rebuild roughly the same time and are clearly ahead of them on every area on the field, can also never forget their fan comparing their...

Review Round 5, 2021 - Brisbane Lions vs. Essendon

We played some real good footy considering the conditions, did not think we would perform that well in the wet. Two straight weeks with horrible umpiring, last night felt like they were just searching for free kicks the whole game. Props to the players for not letting it get to them though.

Preview Brisbane Lions v Essendon Bombers, Round 5, Saturday April 17, 7:25 PM, GABBA

We may of traded Witherden for peanuts but, at least we get to see a 33 year old Birchall turn the ball over and let his opponent walk free.

Preview Brisbane Lions v Essendon Bombers, Round 5, Saturday April 17, 7:25 PM, GABBA

Andrews is not any better when it comes to being immature on the field, his ego has got pretty big in the past couple seasons. Lyons would be a pretty good option for a couple years, until someone like Berry is ready.

Preview Brisbane Lions v Essendon Bombers, Round 5, Saturday April 17, 7:25 PM, GABBA

We started 2001 1-3 after a loss to the dogs in round 4 as well, went to the Gabba in round 5 and put 171 points past Freo. Let's hope history can start repeating or at least rhyming on the 20 year anniversary of the beginning of the 3 peat.

Preview Brisbane Lions v Essendon Bombers, Round 5, Saturday April 17, 7:25 PM, GABBA

Anything is better than Birhcall either kicking the ball sideways or going forward and turning it over, plus he will be able to keep Tippa to under 3 goals.

Preview Brisbane Lions v Essendon Bombers, Round 5, Saturday April 17, 7:25 PM, GABBA

If we don't inject more speed and creativity into this team (especially the backline) then this will become a danger game. Ins: Answerth and maybe Coleman Outs: Birhcall and maybe T.Berry Need a big win here to get the season back on track.

Review Round 4, 2021 - Western Bulldogs vs. Brisbane Lions

Andrews and Birchall were massive liabilities in the first half and it probably took us out of the game. Zorko also needs to start acting and playing like a captain, Lyons does a better job than him. We have completely lost any mojo and ability to create clean attacking opportunities.

Review Round 3, 2021 - Collingwood vs. Brisbane Lions

Late comment but, I have to admit I was wrong all week about Fagan and the team he put out. Backline worked and Adams was dominant, in my opinion that is the best win we have had under Fagan given the conditions.
