Hey Jars how many -1s today?

When the Power were at their lowest ebb this season, I actually reckon a couple of people threw up Jarman's name as a possible replacement for Choco. Jarman has limited tactical nous - as illustrated again by yesterday's game. He's a great motivator ... but simply revving up the players...

    Finals Ticketing Arrangements - Adelaide v Eagles/Bulldogs

They might be disappointed. It's been reported 3000 tickets have been set aside for the visiting team.

    Preliminary Finals Tickets

I agree 3000 doesn't seem like many. Apparently the most opposition supporters to attend a final at AAMI Stadium is 2000 - so I guess they thought it was a reasonable estimate. Still reckon it might have been wiser to hold back a few more until today's match is finished. I guess if...

Attn : West Coast and Western Bulldogs supporters

I can never understand why you bother to go down this attendance road, Tredders66 - especially considering your club's poor attendance rate this season.

    Preliminary Finals Tickets

I know you don't want to get ahead of yourselves .... but here's a ticket update for those interested. From the Adelaide board: "Phil Harper (Crows communications manager) just announced on 5AA that sales to the public have been suspended as there are only 128 tickets left. 3000 tickets...

Malthouse Is like last weeks Pay. GONE

Re: RUMOUR: Malthouse no longer coach of Collingwood. Have you looked at his other posts? They're hardly awe-inspiring.

    Will Freo fans ever learn?

I go to quite a few Port games Macca .... but I don't support the opposition (unless it's the Crows). I definitely don't support the Power, either, though. I know the types you're talking about, though.

    Ian Perrie???

Asses????? No need to get so personal about poor ol' Pezz, topjars. :D

OT: South Adelaide take SANFL to Supreme Court

It's amazing how a SANFL club's fortunes are almost directly proportional to its poker-machine revenue.

    Preliminary Final Tickets...

I would assume that for each ticket booked between now and Saturday, you'll need a season/members ticket ... otherwise any season ticket-holder could go ahead and book as many tickets as they like (regardless of how many season tickets they have) then just wait until Saturday to pick them up.

    Preliminary Final Tickets...

What do you mean by "finals card"? You'll need your season tickets when you collect your tickets, as well as the credit card you used to book them with.

    Ian Perrie???

Perrie's set-shots last weekend were on about a par with the rest of the side. I like him because he always gives a contest. A real team player.

Peter Bell is WA's footballer of the year

Some of those media awards need to be taken with a pinch of salt. Kane Cornes tied with Lade in the Adelaide Advertiser POTY award. No gripes with Lade winning, but it's pretty crazy for Cornes to finish ahead of a bloke like Simon Goodwin.

BigFooty gets a mention (well, sort of)

His talking to the media means people are still talking about this story almost a week after it happened. If he didn't want the attention, he should have declined to comment. There's not much of a story to write if the person in questions doesn't have anything to say.
  20. R

BigFooty gets a mention (well, sort of)

Absolutely not. Tell me what he has gained from talking to the media - apart from putting himself up for public ridicule? There was nothing to gain from it. It's like the Crows supporter (bloke called Dale Mortimer) who happily told his story to the media after getting snotted by Dean Brogan...

    Anthony Rocca

I understand the theory ... but Rocca's too unreliable for my liking. He's also unfit ... can barely run 100m without almost collapsing through exhaustion.

OT: South Adelaide take SANFL to Supreme Court

You're probably right. PS Do you reckon Cupido has earned his $60,000? It looks like he's spent most of the cash on fast food.

OT: South Adelaide take SANFL to Supreme Court

Very surprised they've bothered to take it this far. Goes to show what a bit of pokies money can do for a club (apart from enabling them to cheat the salary cap).
  24. R

BigFooty gets a mention (well, sort of)

Unbelievably stupid for talking to the media at all. He should have just said "I'd rather not talk about it" .... and the story would have gone away in a day or two. Instead, he's talking about it to anyone who's prepared to listen. Obviously an attention whore.

    Anyone got tickets yet?

From memory, the GF registration wasn't much of a hassle, anyway. I got through in a few minutes. PS thanks again for the BASS tip.

BigFooty gets a mention (well, sort of)

He's certainly not doing himself any favours by allowing this story to drag on.
  29. R

BigFooty gets a mention (well, sort of)

He does ... but he's also getting paid out for being unbelievably stupid. It's hard to hide from the facts, regardless of his proportions.

    Anyone got tickets yet?

I'm not sure if it will work because BASS doesn't handle the GF ticket allocation. Still worth a crack, though.
