Agreed i find this rule counterproductive to congestion. Would like to hear the rule comittees logic behind this. The way it was previously the ruckmen would never take possesion of the ball unless he thought he could get a clean possesion away reducing any chance oc congestion.

The goddard rule

Unless im interpreting this wrong. Does this mean if a ruck takes possesion of the ball from a throw in, but gets tackled, he wont necessarily be penalized for holding the ball?

Imagine if he steps over the line its simply play on and the defender can come off the mark. Didnt mind this rule change and find it insignificant.

Would have no problem keeping or trading zaharakis for youth. Cant imagine there would be a deal worthy of it though.
