I don't know man, Treacy was fun to see throwing his body around and crashing packs, but Walker's delivery was elite, and so surprising considering he wasn't really doing much at WAFL level. He almost never made mistakes with ball in hand. Just not sure why he can't even get a game in a practice...
His productivity every game last season was as good, if not better than Henry's in my opinion, who everyone is locking in their 22s. Would struggle to find someone who wouldn't have said Walker was the best surprise packet/most exciting of 2021 at the end of last year
I stick by what I said in that he could be playing on the wing if he can't find a spot in the backline. We are all forgetting just how many times he broke a line or laced up a player towards the end of last season, similar to what Clark was doing today.
Exactly, Walker was playing so well by the end of last season that I feel like he has to be given games from the start. Nothing against them, but Walker has shown much more in half a season than Frederick and Henry have in two seasons, so why shouldn't he be given a go on the wing over them?
It is surprising to me, because last season he was arguably our most exciting player. He's top five for speed and ball use in my opinion, and we should pump as many games into him as possible in my opinion... he will only get better.
If everyone is fit, my back seven would be Pearce, Cox...
Somewhat agree but at the same time Lobb isn't going to get us a premiership within the next two years, and he will almost 100% leave after his contract is over anyway. We might as well take a high draft pick now so his replacement can develop over the next two years.
Nope, don't care about fantasy this year enough to go to the effort of asking a question on BigFooty.
Just excited to see our young mids hopefully prove the rest of the comp wrong and interested to know who is looking likely to step up.
Hey guys, to anyone who has been at training recently,
Who's looking like they will take up more midfield time this year? Blakely? Brayshaw? Cerra? Serong?
At the end of the day, we are likely going to end up with two of Young, Ash, Flanders, Jackson, Serong, Robertson or Stephens, plus Henry. we genuinely can't go wrong
Not a great trade for Aish at all. Would've been great to hold three future 2nds (all from low clubs). Could've traded them for something juicy. They were equivalent to pick 2 on points (based on this year's ladder positions)...
I would hope we get something back in a deal like that? Based off this year's ladder positions, our three seconds would be worth 2512 points, basically pick 2
Disposal/kick efficiency is dead-set the most useless stat in the AFL. Evident by Hill (known as a pretty decent to good kick) having a lower rating than Langdon (known as one of the worst in the comp)
Yeah no doubt they would go to Melbourne first but it all depends on who Dees/Crows want I guess. Either way, I don't think GWS will get Jackson, even if they have 6
Are GWS still trying to upgrade 6 to 3/4 though? If they don't then I'm going to guess that Greene gets bidded on. Would be stupid for Giants to keep 6. They need to either go up or down
It is actually hilarious how Saints somehow think they have already won the trade and how Bell has been left embarrased, when they have literally zero clue about what the trade involves lol
What do you mean "if reported correctly"? Nothing has been reported in terms of what is going to be included in the deal?
If you seriously think Bell will let Hill go for 12 alone (after not accepting 6 + more) then I have no hope for you
Who are we actually going to draft at 7? Most will probably say Robertson or Jackson but I personally don't think we will. Excluding those two, who are the best bets at 7? Stephens?
