Thought he’d come in for Saad as we need some speed but would have been happy for both Cowan and Cincotta to come in if we went with one ruck. Listed as an emergency so not injured

With new injury report and Marchy out of the equation would have to mean Young in and Kemp to take Gov’s role would’ve thought. If Cincotta is fit (didn’t see him on the report) then he comes in for Saad. If not then Cowan comes in.

Motlop sustaining a further hamstring injury is a bit concerning especially given he is still young so would expect a somewhat better recovery from original?

Still think it was probably the wrong move. Even though Marchy was better than last week feel like the backline functions better with Kemp in it. Love Hollands especially effort wise but think keeping Owies in over him would have improved our forward structure.
Agree on Kemp. Feel like backline in general functions better with him there. Particularly seems to help Weiters game. Kind of like Owies helps our forward line function better.

Yep it was one strange non call amongst a few when the game was still on. Haven’t watched the replay yet but everyone was screaming for 50 as it seemed that not only did the grub not release after the whistle he actually tightened the headlock. Weiters clumsy at worst. Would be a travesty if...
Exactly. At the ground everyone was screaming for 50 as it seemed like he continued with the headlock well after the free had been paid to Gov. The idea that the grub thought he deserved a free due to Weiters being a little clumsy in trying to remove him is laughable

Agree he should take Jsos spot in forward line. With his aerial ability, agility and from what I’ve seen has a pretty good set shot feel like he could be more damaging there. Jsos to be reinvented as a defender?
To me most of the time it’s less about the skill execution (although that’s obviously an issue) and more about that we either don’t work hard enough to or have no idea how to create options/separation. Particularly coming out of our backline and even more so from a kick in. Been an issue for...
Been a problem for a long time. We either don’t want to work hard enough to create options or it’s a coaching issue. Voss said he was happy with the effort so suggests the latter? Even then is it coaches inability to recognise the problem or how they actually want us to set up/approach? Almost...
Agree that it’s a final list (5th to 8th) if all goes well but unfortunately the balance is off across whole list which makes us vulnerable especially the way the game is currently being played
This. We have some high end talent but our list lacks the right balance. Not enough explosive/agile players and/or highly skilled by foot for way game is being played atm. Coaching hasn’t been great but they may be limited somewhat by our cattle.
Less concerned about not being able to close out the game than I am about our continuing inability to play out from the back or do anything but bomb it into our forward talls and rely on their individual ability. Hopefully this is not actually reflective of how we plan to play.
Sure but the literature seems to show 10 week best case up to 6 months for athletes returning to contact sports. Seems to be an approx success rate of 80-90% depending on severity etc.
You’d hope that given they thought he may not need surgery the severity is on the lower end so better odds of...
Yeah according to this 3-6 months more likely but it does say the more diligent recover fastest so hopefully Walsh returns at the earlier end of that range.

Agree this is reprehensible if true but isn’t necessarily racist. Having said that there is likely more often unique circumstances for young indigenous players coming into such an environment which make them far more vulnerable to such actions by those with power.
Re Walsh I’m pretty sure I recall it being said by Vossy that he would be right for first week of finals if we made it. If he truly has a disc bulge that would have seemed incredibly unlikely.
Like that we are looking at some of the VFL boys. Love to add Ramshaw to that list. Small body of evidence but looks like a class footballer. May be mid season draft after more of a look.
If rumoured trade were to happen wouldn’t that leave us with yet another list spot to fill if 2 for 1? What would that bring us to? Currently 7 I think so 8? Looks like we will be more active outside draft than we thought
I’m as disappointed as anyone that Stock was cut but if they cut Carrol I’d be absolutely pissed.
Agree with most of your list otherwise although still have some hope for Philp and would like to see if Setters can find consistency if played in midfield.
