O'Meara gets a game because he's in the leadership team and plays as an on field leader, that's why.
Put to bed your ridiculous theories (joking or not)
I would prefer Sturt and Erasmus to get gametime too, but unfortunately the front brass don't see if that way.
As for why Johnson gets so many? I couldn't tell you, I'm not going to complain though because we've seen how good he'll be.
How do you expect him to improve? Give him time at AFL level and persist with him, it's not as if we have guys knocking the door down in the WAFL, he's young and shown he'll be something for us, just need to persist.
God people just don't know how to be happy, we've just brought in two exciting young talents (which you guys have been begging for in the side for weeks), Chapman and Frederick are back, yet because Sturt gets dropped all is doom and gloom?
Get a grip, the lot of you who are acting like that.
I think the criticism of Erasmus is unfair, he's 20 years old for God sake, barely made a dent into his football career, how can you expect a player to improve when they're playing barely 20 minutes of football a game on average as the sub? This was his first full game this year.
I don't know what goes through his head but he needs to start tinkering with the gameplan to play more attacking football, he won't do it, I know he won't, but he should be.
He hasn't shown many good signs but at the same time, can you really expect him to develop if they're not giving him the adequate game time to do so? Last night was the first time that he has played the full game the whole season.
A player can't develop on an average of 15-20 minutes a week.
A lot of players unfortunately coasting off of past glories and it's sad, Walters and O'Meara especially have shown that they're not up to task anymore, you have Will Brodie playing in the WAFL who would be chomping at the bit to prove himself again, he was one of our best players in 2022, he's...
The club can't be surprised when people inevitably stop putting money in when the players have shown they don't want to put the effort in, when crowds start dwindling and getting worse they'll see the lack of passion the fanbase has for this output.
I think I may be done with this club for a good while, it's hard to even get upset anymore when these types of performances are ingrained in the club. Likely not going to stop for good, but think I definitely need a decent break from football, do something better with those 3 hours on my...
Genuinely think I may be done, do I really want to spend the rest of my life ahead of me being emotionally invested in a club that's not going to bother showing up when it gets tough?
Very tempting to call it quits on football.
"Boys I have to say that first half was not giving top 4 energy AT ALL, the vibes were not it. Remember that we're all about being good blokes and that performance was just.......not at all positive vibes. Not happy Jan at all."
- Longmuir's half time speech
"Oh boys I won't lie I'm not a happy camper at all, what you produced out there was not hecking good enough at all, it's all about having fun and it doesn't look like you're having fun out there at all boys."
Lot of people on this board showing they're piss weak cowards who don't know a damn thing about football, blaming the umpires for everything instead of accepting the team isn't playing good enough.
