Don't get me wrong Ross Lion throwing players behind the ball and boring footy was horrible viewing back in the day. However!
Is anyone happy with these constant blowouts that results in a lot of games being over by half time?
I like to watch close games that come down to the wire. Who turned...
Mine was fine and I'm only on a 25 plan, my wife was also streaming a movie at the same time. Perhaps it's your provider or home set up. I've also got a mesh network
Tigers lost the huge amount of injuries combined with two weeks of travel made it hugely unfair, bla bla bla. However a Tigers forward Lefau came of age.
Positives
Waterman
Ried
Hough
Duggan
Chesser okay
No Underwood commentary
Negatives
Edward's concussion
Ginbey, doesn't seem to get to the right positions, however does some good things when he does get the ball.
His Jujutsu training could have a lot to do with how he can break tackles and movie the heavier players around.
Should start all the younger players on it straight away.
For me personally the rule changes have crippled the AFL competition. The AFL wanted more scoring, are they happy with these constant blow outs? Steve Hocking I'm going to single out for stupid rule changes in particular. Destroying footy.
Academy rules are a big problem though, If the Eagles had the same rules as Gold Coast, GWS, Brisbane around drafting ( match bids sooner )then I'm sure the club would be spending more money and effort.
The midfield did okay today in clearance and the contested ball. The connection between the the midfield and the forwards is a huge worry.
Without being at the game it's hard to see if the Forwards are working for each other. I hardly saw a lead at all.
The ball was constantly being bombed in...
Darling higher up the ground will bounce back today. Often double teamed close to goal has been smashed. Players delivering into the forward line need to hit up players leading and not bomb it in.
My biggest takeaway from the training stream was Will Schofield saying he had never seen midfielder's resting in the backline work, because they needed a rest. Which forward would they play on?
I think he means this. Scofield saying it's ridiculous to say Ryan will be back early season. Usually I a 10 to 16 week injury, closer to 16 when your coming off another hamstring.
