Honestly it was an solid effort let down by some shocking skill errors and brainfades.
Lewis consistently has a crack. Was nice seeing VDM, Jones, McNeil and Buss do ok.
Dolan and Emmett aren’t there yet and a few others are labouring.
He was undersold. When he got a rare run of games across 2010/11 he was quite good. The problem was that aside from those stretches he never had continuity.
He had a strong body, really good skills and was brave. When he came back from a layoff though he’d look all at sea for a while.
Yeah I remember reading about the fairly radical operation they had to do to get his shoulder to stop giving out. It sucks. Came across as a likeable guy.
I wish him success in life but not at all on the footy field.
He’s seriously harmed the club and there’s no reason to wish him well professionally where I (and most of this board) didn’t wish Nathan Brown, Ryan Griffen or Bailey Smith luck at their new club.
At least those players gave their...

The Essendon game is where Richards and English’s issues started and it’s been a procession since.
One thing we were doing was executing a lot of short kicks in the...
I think there are times they are meant to follow certain instructions and times they are meant to do things differently.
With midfielders, they set up differently if a stoppage is 15 metres further up etc. Same for each group. Apparently some players have a lot of trouble keeping up.
Not sure...
