Hinkley did go overseas a few years back. It's just a coincidence it was in the final year of his contract, where Port had to make finals in order to trigger an extension into 2021.

Did Port enquire about the services of Paul Roos or Mick Malthouse?? Both were premiership coaches without a coaching job in 2012. I know Port would have likely missed out on both.. but surely Port would have at least asked the question, about whether or not they'd be keen to coach Port??
