No idea why they sent him back out there. He was only going to make it worse. Same with Hopper on Thursday.
Been some strange decisions by the doctors lately.
I assume it’s been brought in because of the new 3 year deals players have to sign out of the draft.
Really first round players should be getting more in that 3rd year without having to clear a lot of hurdles due to the longer contract.
I’m thinking along the lines of the wingard trade. Their first two picks and a young talented half back flanker (Sheezel).
Seems a fair trade for all involved.
That first half of the second quarter is what showed that our players have what it takes.
That’s the sort of pressure that as a team the guys need to bring a lot more of.
It’s going to be hard to apply that much constantly and most teams will handle it a lot better than North but play with...
This is great for us but oh boy is North awful. We still have plenty of room for improvement but North aren’t even slightly challenging us in any facet
North’s defence is terrible. Every time we go forward we have a number of players free inside 50.
Just need to hit them as well as get the ball forward enough.
He’s got the potential to play anywhere. Though I think he’s going to be too good to be moved out of the middle aside from some small stints forward.
He’s the sort of guy you want around the ball 100% of time.
I am glad that Simpson resisted putting Reid on a back flank like Sheezel and Daicos.
He’s not going to get the same number of touches as those guys are off a flank but he is many times more damaging forward of centre.
What’s most scary about Reid is how much more development he has left.
In the VFL today, Max Hall was one tackle away from a quadruple double which got me wondering if anyone has done it at VFL and would it be easier or harder to get it at the lower level?
Plenty of players have been only one away. I believe there was a player that only missed due to handballs which would be the closest from an ease of obtaining standpoint.
Has had a number of poor moments this year. Was very selfish earlier in the game then dropping that mark just then.
Is talented but not doing nearly as much as he should be on the field.
Soligo is getting a lot of it but his ball use is awful. The stats aren’t quite doing it justice how bad it is. About the only targets he’s hit have been from luck.
He’s been getting a few centre bounce attendances outside of the Geelong game.
Just needs to take the opportunity in there and he will get more of a go.
It’s the big problem with us this year, it’s that almost no one is putting their hand up and demanding selection or a bigger role.
It was against the eagles. He went goalless in just under half his games. 8 out of 17.
Was a great player for us and I hope he can still play some good games but his best is well in the past unfortunately.
Those players weren’t available but it signifies what talent you are trading for. Getting pick 10 ends up being the 15th or so ranked player. Hard to see it being worth giving up a top 4 talent for that except in an incredibly even draft.
Honestly channel 7 is gross for doing that. But then they are also they same group of people who welcomed Wayne Carey back into the fold after his actions.
I’m glad he’s not doing drugs anymore. It’s also not the drugs I have the issue with.
In Newcombe’s favour yeah?
He had a 14% better kicking efficiency than Warner last year and matched him for score involvements despite being kicking it to a much worse forward line.
Warner is a good player but his ball use does let him down.
I can’t say I’m happy anyone giving him any airtime. Especially after he’s been jailed twice now for stalking his ex plus whatever else he’s put her through.
The only positive of him being sober is he might leave her and the kids alone now.
Domestic abuse is abhorrent and I can’t find any...
