I wonder if AJ needs a couple weeks breather to go home to Halls Creek, reconnect with his family and friends.
Former First Nations players often talk about how hard it is reconnecting with Country during footy season.
Hope we strongly consider this because it seems obvious his confidence is...
Thinking similarly. Much as he seems happy up there if he starts looking ahead to the gabba redevelopment playing back in melbourne may start to look appealing...

Couldn't see his family for 2 years straight over covid, was almost blinded by surgery, never sooked it up and asked to go home.
There must have been a dozen Irish players crack the shits and go home since he joined the comp, and there are heaps of them...
Am aware. From memory sam murray had the same "up to 4 years" but got to reduced to 12 or 18 months by proving it wasn't performance enhancing. Very similar circumstances with the match day test. Seems like 3 months is the new reduced penalty.
Don't have kids but agree with this one. The kids get enough air time at the brownlow and just playing on an afl ground.
It's the one time that afl players get to truly celebrate, let's not force them to be polite while little Timmy spews up some line the afl has fed them for the sake of tv.
I have no idea if it's true.
I get he is closer to the end than the start.
I get it may be workable towards a smart trade, or allow us to manage the age profile of the list.
I get that list management needs to be cold and calculated.
But if tay adams gets traded i will be very sad.
Not sure he was the best player this year but don't begrudge him at all... he's a jet for sure. Although i do think bont needs to win one somewhere along the way.
Very good observations.
With gws' flock of small forwards in green, bedford, daniels, and even guys like cumming i wonder if we will opt to bring in the pace of noble over the endurance/marking of hoskin-elliott. Big whe fan but horses for courses selection might go against him.
