    Karmichael sinks Richmonds season

The main difference here St.kilda (which has nothing to do with this thread) defeated Gold Coast this year twice. It was an exercise in percentage boosting. Richmond should belt a team full of teenagers, regardless of where the match is played. If my memory serves me correctly the Tigers were...

    Karmichael sinks Richmonds season

No, the Richmond football club would have totally expected to be playing finals this year. The Tigers have had a couple of decades to do the developing. Richmond would be playing finals if they decided to not chase after the almighty dollar. The exact same thing happened last year too.

Turn it up. You can keep living in your fantasy world and keep thinking that. Once again i'm not hurting, that would still be the Richmond team and all of thier loyal, long suffering supporters.

Just one of those nights were everything Wilkes attempted to do turned into dirt.

    Karmichael sinks Richmonds season

AFL is still a minor sport up north, don't get too ahead of yourself. AFL is expanding very slowly, still not convinced all the money that is getting flished out that way. Well for us actual supporters, I enjoyed Richmond throwing away their finals hope for the a few bucks.

    Karmichael sinks Richmonds season

It was a great game and the highlight of the season so far. Why would I be hurting? I think the Richmond faithful would be the ones hurting.

    Karmichael sinks Richmonds season

It will do minimal to promote the game up north. Rugby league supporters will state it looks good for the NRL, as it shows AFL is an easy sport to master, even for someone who is new to the sport.

    Karmichael sinks Richmonds season

Maybe Hardwick should look at recruiting a NRL player for his team. It might help in their quest to kick a football correctly.

Ben Cousins wants a coaching role.

No chance - what kind of role model would he be for the young players on the list? This is more complex than being a player on the list. An assistant coach has to lead from the front, both on and off the training track. Judging by recent reports, it looks like Ben still has a very lengthy road...

    Round 16 - v Brisbane (Sat 7.40 p.m)

Ignoring the recent match against Sydney, Brisbane have been impressive the last month. St.Kilda need to be on their A-game or they will lose.

Jack Steven suspended for 1 week for failing breath test

That is completely on the money! Those three players you listed there will most likely fail to keep their spot on the main list for 2012. Well theoretically that should be the case, you never know what the coaching panel is thinking and planning for next year. Those three have had numerour...

Moved Thread Too many Victorian clubs

North Melbourne will play a handful of matches per season in Tasmania, along with Hawthorn. That is a strong enough presence for AFL in Tasmania, with no other sport coming close to challenging it popularity wise. There is not enough money in Tasmania for an AFL club full time, the state's...

Jack Steven suspended for 1 week for failing breath test

Not good:( Well the exciting part is they can promote a younger player to the seniors. For some reason I have a feeling Ledger will get overlooked again.

Moved Thread Too many Victorian clubs

You are forgetting something - AFL is a predominantly a Victorian sport, along with a few other smaller states. Where are you going to plonk the new teams? In the two northern states AFL is a minor sport? You would not want to reduce the current number of teams, as that would have a negative...

Expansion 3rd Sydney AFL side prediction

Some people must be on mind altering substances to even think about a third NSW team. The next 100 years will be about consolidating AFL as a sport in Sydney and attempting to create two teams that can stand on their own two feet.

The AFL captains in draft order

Hodge is that forgotten footballer and captain. Ablett is still number one for mine, very hard to evaluate the list on a specific ranking for each player, whether it's based on footballing ability or captaining ability. A massive laugh for the poster who placed Hodge at number one.

Sorry but cats will miss the 8

Geelong just showed a lack of respect against the normally uncompetitive Suns. They need to focus more time think about playing decent football and less time hanging out on the Gold Coast amusement parks.
