Covid-19 Antivaxxers, extremism and the Coalition

I think firstly people will laugh at the overreaction to the virus in Melbourne. The world's longest lockdown with a curfew and 5km travel limit. This is extremism.

Covid-19 Antivaxxers, extremism and the Coalition

Nothing extreme about people living their lives without fear and there is nothing extreme about letting people make choices about their health. These who spend the rest of their lives hiding in a cave in fear are free to do so.

    Why do workers vote Liberal?

You have a worker vs business mentality. Most of the example you gave regarding the Liberals attacking workers are actually examples of the Liberals helping business flourish in order to create more jobs and higher wages.

Repost your evidence that the authors of the gospels were not eyewitnesses please. To convict a man of murder you only need convince 12 people. Jesus convinced billions. Just accept it mate . God is not lying. His words are in the bible. The righteous will believe gods words.

Evidence that the gospels were written by 4th and 5th witnesses ? The gospels had the credibility to convince enough people to believe in Jesus that Christianity today has 2.3 billion followers. How do you know god simply didn't design the universe 10,000 years ago to look as if it was 14...

Video cameras and audio recordings did not exist 2,000 years ago. You don't have visual or audio evidence for anything that occurred for most of history. In the case of Jesus we have witnesses who wrote down what he had to say. Their testimony convinced others and that's why there are 2.3...

Without Jesus you do not have the largest and most powerful religion the word has ever seen. How do you know God didn't create the universe 10,000 years ago ?

Christianity is the most influential and powerful religion the world has ever seen. It did not reach this status for no reason. When Jesus said " this generation shall not pass" he is referring to a future generation. This is crystal clear if you read the entire new testament...

Covid-19 Antivaxxers, extremism and the Coalition

Ludicrous claims like most people at a protest about government having too much control weren't actually protesting about government having too much control ? Have you checked with 6.6 million Victorians to confirm 90% have been vaccinated and Andrew's approval rating ? You are deeply confused

Covid-19 Antivaxxers, extremism and the Coalition

Debating the merits of the proposed legislation is a separate matter. The fact is most of the people are protesting because they are fearful of government having too much power. Even if those fears are unfounded in your opinion that does not make them dangerous extremist. Yes most people...

Covid-19 Antivaxxers, extremism and the Coalition

99.9 % of the people who were protesting in what might have been the biggest protest ever in Melbourne were doing so because they were concerned about the state government having too much power under previous state of emergency legislation and its proposed replacement. Society/Culture Can we please stop equating the risk posed by left wing extremists with that of right wing extremists?

The definition of left wing extremism is outdated. They are just doing a segment on Fox news regarding the tendency of some on the left to encourage, glorify and excuse criminal behaviour.

The intent of that post was not to champion the Nazis but to highlight a similarity between the Nazis and the far left.

Society/Culture Can we please stop equating the risk posed by left wing extremists with that of right wing extremists?

Does it matter if killing a person ticks the box of being a terrorist activity or the individual ticks the box of being an extremist ? The definition given to left wing extremism/terrorism is very very narrow and outdated.

African American young inner-city men on low incomes are far more likely to commit murder than white middle age suburban men on middle to high incomes. African American young inner-city men on low incomes are more likely to vote Democrat.

Society/Culture Can we please stop equating the risk posed by left wing extremists with that of right wing extremists?

Your argument that you made without the support of facts that demographics that most frequently commit serious crime vote Democrat because they blame Republicans for serious crime does not deserve a serious response. The only people responsible for committing serious crime is the people who...

Society/Culture Can we please stop equating the risk posed by left wing extremists with that of right wing extremists?

Your argument that socio-economics causes crime which I half agree with (race does not cause crime) still does not change the fact that people in this demographic vote overwhelmingly for the Democrats. African American males from low socio-economic inner city areas vote mostly for the Democrats.

Society/Culture Can we please stop equating the risk posed by left wing extremists with that of right wing extremists?

Some might and some might take the view that the Democrats are softer on crime than the Republicans. I suspect most vote Democrat for non crime related matters. Regardless the people responsible for serious crime are the ones who commit the serious crime.

Society/Culture Can we please stop equating the risk posed by left wing extremists with that of right wing extremists?

No. I am saying serious crime including homicide is more prevalent in demographics who strongly favour the Democrats not the Republicans.
