Caught flame for this just a couple hours ago :drunk:. It was obvious as soon as the speculation died down yesterday and reports were coming out that Oliver was recommitting to MFC standards.
Gee don't think I've seen such an outcry about losing a forward who kicked 12 goals this year. He's a good player but he was hardly critical to our team.
I think that despite most people's love for tex, the (relatively) average/disappointing years for fog and thilth may just be a reflection of his utter dominance. Once tex retires I think we'll truly see the best of them, after all there's only so much ball to go around and with tex having 13...
Good is a relative term, I think either beating or losing by a goal in all our games against top 4 sides is a pretty impressive feat. If you offered most of the people on this board our results before the year began I imagine most of us would say it's good.
I can't believe that i'm reading some posts wanting us too miss finals. At some point you've got to stop being cynical and just enjoy your footy team having a good year.
I think a lot of people have a tainted view of Rory due to his last couple years but I still believe he's a club great. He's in the top 10 for most games played as a crow, 2 time bnf, All Australian and was captain for multiple years.
Regardless of if we make finals or not (which at this point it's slightly favored against us), how good is this finals race? Even Port and Brisbane battling it out for a top 2 position. Really exciting stuff!
I prefer proven elite talent, impossible to predict where worrell will end up. If I had to choose a team for the next 2 seasons Wilkie makes it over Worrell 10/10 times. Not that Worrell won't be as good, just hasn't proven it yet.
Yea but he wasn’t really. Had a poor preseason and first game before becoming injured for 3 weeks. Not too surprising he is coming back through the SANFL.
Look I really like Max but Sheezel is an absolute gun and isn't really playing the same shutdown position. For what he's being asked to do Sheezel has been the complete package.
Seems like an odd week to be upset about pretty basic selections. Not like we dropped Pedlar or McAdam, depth players have replaced our injured/suspended players which is what they're there for. Just wait until next week, if McAdam/Pedlar play sanfl then get pissed.
Thought he was a bit prone to mistakes in the first couple rounds but his showdown was mighty impressive. More of the latter and he definitely has a place in our best 22.
I don’t understand how laird keeps coming up in captaincy and leadership group discussions. He has never been in our leadership group despite multiple bnf, it’s pretty clear that he’s not interested.
