King likely takes the 2 year deal to get him to unrestricted free agency if he thinks it might be hard to get to where he wants to go, given they are in contention and as a UFA he can potentially get more money given no draft capital needed. Ive said it for a long time under the current system you can’t really rebuild. The draft hardly advantages bottom over top, west coast got pick 1 over the lions and that’s it.
