Hey all, It's footy season again! I wish to join the MCC waiting list, however, have a slight pickle. I need a second person to nominate me. Would any of you lovely folks be happy to nominate me? Obviously it's a big favour and if it's not possible I'll live with it :P

I run OpenSUSE now full time; studying Computer Science it's still more popular than showing up with a Mac to class :D

I think it'll be slightly easier to join the wait list as opposed to learning to time travel, but you never know unless you try!

Although I do wonder what will happen to the waitlist over time; will it get so long as to dissuade anyone from joining it? Will be very interesting to see, for sure.

Wow, I wasn't expecting such polar opposite viewpoints. I will try to join the waitlist, and decide in the next decade or two whether I should take up the offer. That, or donate $10 million to the MCC. Would that mean I get in a bit quicker?

I do wish it were easier to join the waitlist, though. I do know 5 or 6 people who are not full members, which is a shame.

I was pondering whether it was worth me joining the MCC membership at my tender old age of 23. Most of the people I know were put down at birth, so they got in as they left their teenage years. If it is worth it, my next task is to find two full members to nominate my application! Cheers!
