Game Day 2026 Rd Carlton vs St Kilda GAMEDAY - Saturday 2nd May 7:35PM AEST - Marvel Stadium

Because thats how coaching and games work..... You have a general idea of how the opposition will play based off their game plan and previous games, however there are always tweaks to counter each opposition team. Ie I'm sure Cowan being put in as a tagging midfielder was a suprise to them...

Game Day 2026 Rd Carlton vs St Kilda GAMEDAY - Saturday 2nd May 7:35PM AEST - Marvel Stadium

There are players still trying, the problem is and has always been, opposition coaches make tweaks after half time and our amazing coaching team dont have any tactical nuance on how to counter it. Opposition go in at half time unbothered because they know this about us

Game Day 2026 Rd Carlton vs St Kilda GAMEDAY - Saturday 2nd May 7:35PM AEST - Marvel Stadium

So there is no Young in the team to blame this week... are we now going to talk about Weitering and his serious lack of accountability which is affecting his other defenders

On DeKonig I dont blame him for that one, he cant cover both rucks

Game Day 2026 Rd Carlton vs St Kilda GAMEDAY - Saturday 2nd May 7:35PM AEST - Marvel Stadium

Someone said it a couple weeks ago and I tend to agree it. Kemp plays like J.Waite Does some athletic things and kicks the non-regulation shots, but cant kick the ones he should Waite got better with his conversion as he got older so hopefully Kemp can do that too

Game Day 2026 Rd Carlton vs St Kilda GAMEDAY - Saturday 2nd May 7:35PM AEST - Marvel Stadium

Something ive noticed with Carroll, is his eyes are always completely focused on the ball when he is going for marking contests. He doesnt let his opposition player unfocus him. Moving him onto the Wing has given him so much confidence and freedom.

Really....🫠 Ive tried to restrain myself on commentating on selections this year so Ill try and stay positive and say I don't care who we brought in as long as we beat Lyon & the Saints l

Couple counter points; 1. You mention his lack of development at CB – Until late last year he wasn't being played there in the ones. Voss and his team tried to just chuck him anywhere they felt he would plug a hole Ie. At Half Back and on the wing. He only really started having more of a...

He converted when he had his opportunity in the third but i wouldn't say he was electric I see some signs with him potentially being an xfactor player but im not sure he has the drive or nuance to be an afl grade player. I said a few years ago that he should model his game more on Jack...

Preview 2026 Rd 8 Carlton vs St Kilda Saturday 2nd May 7:35PM @ Marvel Stadium

I think that he did a decent enough job considering hes playing on one of better midfielders in the game When you compare their games they both had the same number of score involvements and assists, same disposal percentage and similar number of possessions The area that i like highlighting...

Game Day 2026 Rd 7 Carlton vs Fremantle 25th April 8:15PM AEST @ Optus Stadium

Its where hes been played for most the year..... why would we play a skilled player where they excel? It goes against the Voss way

Is Cottrell injuried, I feel like I havent seen him since the first

Game Day 2026 Rd 7 Carlton vs Fremantle 25th April 8:15PM AEST @ Optus Stadium

I agree he should have been sent to the reserves this week to get some confidence, but ive seen him have at least 3 moments where hes been the free player in the forward 50 and hes been overlooked Can't touch it if he isnt supplied it when hes in the right position 🤷

    Rookie 20. Elijah Hollands

Deeply concerning but at least he is in the safest place for him right now I hope he gets the help he needs and the tools to have a safe and fulfilling life when hes ready Nothing but thoughts of support and empathy for him and his family. Mental health is a such a scary thing that is still...

Autopsy 2026 Rd 6 Collapse. Copy. Paste.

Only thing ill add to this is that NO team has skilled players everywhere. What GOOD teams do is drill their players to use their good qualities to outweigh their average / poor ones. Again that is linked to everything u said in ur post

Autopsy 2026 Rd 6 Collapse. Copy. Paste.

Don't disagree hes been average since his rising star nomination but couple important things to remember 1. 64% game time 2. Hes a midfielder being played at HF. He does his best work buzzing around the contests with his evasiveness, clean hands and decision making 3. He had NO CB attendances...

Quite happy trying to have joke round and laughing at the end there I just dont see him as an afl player Brilliant for a couple weeks and then he disappears. Its the standard of his career Has the skill but just doesnt have the drive and commitment to be an afl player

Game Day 2026 Rd 6 Blues vs Pies Game Day - Thursday 16th April 7:30PM AEST @ MCG

Reasons he very much has blame in this 1. Matchups..... 2. Not ability to react to things happening in game as we have no second ideas 3. Game plan 4. Management of players time of field... There are more Yes skills kill u but no team has great skills with every player, its about managing...

Having Carroll on the wing has been one of the few smart decisions this year

Autopsy 2026 Rd 4 Carlton vs North Melbourne: What is this sport anymore?

I agree with this to an extent His decisions tonight were inexcusable for a senior player. However, in all his games this season it feels like our "game plan" isnt built around using his skills and strengths. We always seem to fail to use our players assets to the best of their ability making...

There was no one leading for him. He had to dump the kick forward because of that

Game Day 2026 Rd 4 Carlton vs North Melbourne *GAMEDAY* Good Friday 3rd April @ 3:15PM ADT

Can't say hes done much wrong to be honest.... Hes not in the backline so the default blame cant be put on him, which means posters are looking for scraps to critique him on.

Preview 2026 Rd 4 Carlton vs North Melbourne Friday 3th April 3:15pm ADT @ Marvel Stadium

Kemp isn't a forward or he simple isnt a very smart one. He runs into other forwards leading lanes, or instead of providing opportunities for his other forwards by drawing his defender he leads them straight to their contests resulting in loss of possession He is an athlete, and his endeavour...

If he showed something i could get on board with this, but hes shown not even a glimpse Draft profile strengths: Speed - havent seen it and looks almost average paced with players running off him Kicking - such an up and under kick that always misses or puts pressure on the marker Class - 🤔...

Game Day 2026 Rd 3 Carlton vs Melbourne *GAMEDAY*

if thats thats the role hes been asked to play (i personally dont see it that way as he is touted as our second tall forward, replacing Charlies role) he needs to convert when the opportunity arises as its not going to happen often. He also needs to not get in the leading lanes or in the way of...

Game Day 2026 Rd 3 Carlton vs Melbourne *GAMEDAY*

Im not sure if the scoreline is reflective of how bad Melbourne is or because the game is just chaotic with little thought and structure by us Really like how much freedom of movement Walsh seems to have with his body this year. Feels like hes getting some confidence back in it. Dean and Byrne...
