We have about 50-60,000 on our database. At the end of last year the club went through and culled any addresses that could not be validated as current for the people they were linked too. Saved a heap of money in mailing to dud addresses.
I think you will find that this figure includes the Gold Coast members from last year. Need to remember to take them off because the club isn't including them as members in 2008.
Was in the Roo Shop yesterday getting some new gear and the guys there told me that the boys would be training this Sat at Arden St from 11am. The Peninsula Ladies will be putting on one of their lovely sausage sizzles and Gibbo and Robbie Tarrant will be in the shop serving and signing...
I've noticed on the other sites that the themometer looks the same for everyone. Maybe with the new sites they have changed everyone over to the same thing but I wouldnt be surprised if the ticker made a return.
I emailed the membership department about The Roo Crew membership and whether it counted towards the total. They will be including it in their figure just like the other clubs do as they believe that these people have got on board and are still members to them.
The AFL wont count it in the...
I think we will find that the AFL for games, television broadcasts etc will use Kangaroos still as the Clubs submit what they want in March of the year prior (eg, March 2007 for the 2008 season).
Got my letter about the forum in the mail yesterday. Was addressed to us as a family. Same information as was posted on the website the other day.
Havent received my Yearbook yet but certainly looking forward to reading it all!
I looked to buy my membership this season over the internet. I ended up having to speak to them about why it wouldnt work.
When you get your membership online, it sells it directly into your account. If you bought a family membership online, it sells it all into your account. Last year, they...
I sent an email to membership over the weekend checking that part about the MCG home ground.
Just got a response saying that it was a mistake that was not corrected before the email was sent. The questions relate to Telstra Dome as OUR home ground.
I love getting the Yearbook at the end of each season as part of my membership. It's a great read with plenty of good quality stories. Hopefully Arch gets a massive feature in this years book.
Does everyone else value these magazines as a member benefit? I know over the past couple of years...
I'm sure they will facilitate the option for members to sit with one another even though there are seating areas now.
I really think the idea of creating these specific areas will help with creating a bigger and better mood amongst each other.
I'm sure the brochrue will outline everything we...
A letter should be coming in the mail hopefully by the end of this week.
The AFL does not have any queueing for tickets anymore. Clubs get the option of allowing their members to register in a ballot or on a first in best dressed system. The Kangaroos are using FIRST IN BEST DRESSED NOT...
We would have a 17 game membership if we were offered replacement games for the ones we play on the Gold Coast. Most clubs offer 11 home (we have 8) and 17 away (we have 14).
Clubs can pretty much make up what they want to do with the amount of games on offer. It is up to the AFL to decide...
I thought the book was pretty good- definitely heaps better than they used to be. Have a look at any of the other clubs books and compare it to ours. There is about ten stories in there… what do you expect in a mid-season book?
The beer was not organised by the club. Fosters did it themselves which is why there is such limited stock.
I believe the players had an allocation and members have an allocation which is only 60 so they will sell out fast. Fosters refuse to do another run so it will be first in best dressed!
I dont think anyone who reads this forum actually things that Duffman cares more about the Club than Racing. He is racing through and through and that's whats important. He just worked the deal with RVL that sees them make more money through television coverage rights at during the Spring...
At some point everyone needs to remember that the club was not allowed to produce a TV commercial this year. The AFL took control of all clubs TVC's and made just that one that we dont get much of a run on.
Only the Interstate clubs were allowed to produce their own. The club had actually...
Collingwood and Essendon have away game reserved seats because they have the members to accomodate them. The AFL, stadiums and the home teams would have to agree to us having reserved seats at our away games. It's also an enormous cost to the club that cannot even fill its allocation at home...
You dont have to be a lapsed member to get one. I was speaking to an old colleague about them who is fanatical Kangas. He hadnt got his so he gave the club a call and they organised for one to be sent out. You have to have been a consecutive member since 2000 to have got one.
I got my certificate in the mail several weeks ago for long term commitment to the club with my membership. I thought it was great and put it on the fridge straight away!
I can't believe I haven't heard more talk about it on here.
Did a lot of people who post not get them? They were...
Woodson, I would check that you know everything about the database before you make assumptions like that. I know for sure that they do not just load people as new members. The system they use automatically checks for records that match. If you dont log into the Account Manager site correctly and...
It acts as a sort of Outlook type program. They put automatic updates in the calendar and you get the email address.
I dont think you get additional emails but you get links to all the latest information before they put it in an email to everyone.
