Ward was the most plug and play player of that draft. Things aren't looking good for him in his 3rd season unfortunately. I'm happy serong gets a game, thought he was more deserving last season.
We have a pick 6+7 though, let's not pretend that the gap between pick 5 and 7 is that big. The players we have picked are cream on top, it's pretty obvious they don't have that inside ability.
The club has severly overatted the youth and our more established players completely. Sicily is a shell of him former self , why would anyone want to play for him when he can barely hold a mark or keep his feet. Newcombe is young but literally looks worse than when worpel was struggling a few...
Cmac and newcombe have drunk their own bath water.
Well done finn, isn't the most talented but at least he tries his heart out. Wish our captain showed as much heart and want.
Effort , it's all most of us wanted to see . I'm not fussed on wins and losses this season but I want to see the boys have a real go like they showed they were capable of last season. When we do we show how competitive we can be. We still lack the class and a genuine match winner outside of...
They will go backwards before they go forward. A team full of OK afl players with one genuine star in merrett and 1 potential up and coming star in caddy who hasn't played a game yet.
I'm sick of hearing how impatient this group is and how quick they want to turn it around to play finals. It surely doesn't show, half aren't willing to work hard enough for long enough.
I hope meek is in and stays in. He is a better all round player than Reeves. We can talk about his hit out to advantage stats last season but he has been a deadset liability so far .
Ward is becoming a worry. His work rate allowed him to dominate In juniors by being fitter than everyone else, He was OK at every other aspect without being great. I thought he might be our version of Andrew Bradshaw, but he struggles with the contested side of the game
