Yet will still play more away games than games in Perth this year. I think I'd rather take 15 minimum home games a year than this season.

I think they are shopping because they are worried about his foot which is what would put me off but talent is not the problem

Riewoldt has kicked more than 70 goals once in a H&A season, to think Hogan is not capable is undervaluing his early presence. He has had a statistically better first 71 games then Lance Franklin and any other recent key forward.

As true as the love's to sook comment is, Hogan is way more talented than Riewoldt ever was. My only concern on Hogan is his foot.

And yet still nowhere near a premiership. It isn't a coincidence that all the previous 15 premiers had one of the best midfields in the league in their premiership years.

It's amazing people are saying pick 1 is not that good.
Pick 1 is your opportunity to pick the best player of the draft. If clubs didn't value it they would trade it for decent players every year.
We definitely overate how good some of the players on our list are like every club supporters...
Pick 1 would give a s**t load of leverage to us also. Darling is not irreplaceable and he holds value.
Of course this is all speculation but we should be aggressive in our window.

You'll have to get Shuey in his ear then [emoji5]
They'll want a sweetner then. Add 31 in too.
Give: McKenzie, Darling, 12 and 31
Receive: 1,20 and Zaha
Won't happen but good to dream.

Spot on, you have give something decent up to get quality.
I'd say we go to the draft instead as there are not any A+ mids on the market. It's a strong draft so I'm all for it.

We had this problem once Phil Walsh left the Eagles too. I think Walsh game day coaching is severely underrated. His track record proves it. Geelong ----> West Coast -----> Port -----> Adelaide.
Positive for me that gets overlooked was there seemed to be a bit of mongrel in the boys. You could see Wellingham, Shuey, Lecras, Yeo etc getting fired up. I'm pretty sure it was Wellingham getting stuck into one of the Port players in the last quarter. I haven't seen that since 06/07.
With the recent injury to Eric McKenzie and reading about Alex Johnson injury troubles with his knee reconstruction I wondered whether athletes will continue to go the traditional route.
I myself have had a Hybrid LARS recon on my ACL and haven't really had any problem in the 3 years since. On...
We would all like Dangerfield but the likelihood of that happening is extremely low. Swallow is one of the few guys on the list we could entice back to Perth who I think would add something to the team.
Both Priddis and GAJ won a brownlow at 29. Depending on where we are at the end of next year there could still be serious value in him.
Andy Otten would be the other one I'd look at if I was another club and needed some HBF experience. Not really a problem at the Eagles but definetely a problem...
Just checked the list of free agents

I think it's worth inquiring about Andrew Swallow for the right price.
Definitely true, I asked him about this one day when i he was my physio and he said the eagles got smashed by geelong and he was angry with the way he played so when he got off the plane he asked his wife to get his bag and started running.
Apparently took about 90 minutes I think and he beat...
I think a mature body would have helped immensely this year. I still think we should have chased Moloney or Brad Sewell as a free agent last year who would be perfect right about now (hindsight is a beautiful thing). I think we should target someone like Joel Corey who is obviously on the...
If it helps I was at the Eagles Movie Night at Burswood on Sunday evening and the announcer said NicNat was back in training yesterday. I don't know if it can be confirmed that he actually was but that is good news.
Major difference here though is players making decisions vs clubs making decisions. You can't control the stupid things players do but you can control paying people outside the salary cap.
Don't cheat and you never would have lost those picks in the first place. Take responsibility for your own actions and stop blaming others. Don't pay people outside the salary cap and he would have nothing to 'bitch' about. Not O'Reilly's fault you lost the draft picks, it was Carlton's fault...
