A quick look over some stats and I discovered that in our wins over Port, Hawthorn, Sydney and Freo we had 12, 10, 10 and 9 players get 20+ touches. In our losses to Brisbane and Carlton only 5 players got it 20+ times. I find this drop off hard to believe and was wondering if anyone in the know...
Just a question for you guys: there is a WA supporters club that gets together and watches North games over here and I've got a Crows mate who would be interested to know whether there is anything similar in place with Crows supporters over here.
Does anyone know?
Appreciate the input, cheers!
We missed Jack out there. Don't know if that's more damning on his form with the tribunal or the 12 or so blokes out there with more experience than him.
I'm getting sick of umpires talking to players in a very unprofessional manner. The umpire that told Hawkins yesterday to stop being "cute" for example. Earlier in the year one of them told Lindsay Thomas to get up after Shuey elbowed him and was consequently suspended. Players are harshly...
We were only 14 months older and 17 games more experienced than that Giants side on average. Both sides only had 4 players who have played 100 games. So going in expecting a percentage booster may have been a bit arrogant. We've still got plenty of improvement to come. :thumbsu:
Honestly, the umpiring in these "expansion team" games is starting to piss me off. How many times did we have them stone cold holding the ball and no whistle? And yet, the other way and they will find a way to pick a free.
We lost it today because for some reason we decided to play a kick it long game when we only had one genuine forward target in Petrie. Pedersen and Warren barely contested, they are not the answer. Too many times they were beaten and the ball was taken away with ease. 4 tall defenders in Grima...
While doing a quick post-Brownlow google images search for Dane Swan's girlfriend, I discovered this bizarre link to another Collingwood player.

Was a shining light today. Handled the ball cleanly and took the game on. One passage of play in the middle was pretty spectacular in particular. Think he could become a player.
We scored a goal approximately 1 in 8 forward 50 entries yesterday, whereas Collingwood scored 1 in every 3.4 entries. Strange that we can generate 54 inside 50s and still get flogged by 90 points. Something is not working.
Looks like we've got that big key defender we've been after. Thought he was very solid as our key back and kept Kennedy pretty quiet. He got beaten in one contest in the West Coast forward pocket but he was caught out of position on that occassion. Otherwise thought he had a good game.:thumbsu:
