In regards to landing JHF it was always an almost impossible task. People forget that JHF and his management reached out to Port. Like no recruiting was done.
I don't know what year of Hinkley we are in but this trial was just boring.
So boring watching Hinkley ball and this gameplan go at it over and over.
So boring watching the same old core players go about it.
It sucks knowing that this is no recipe for success.
All the positives from this...
Adelaide's offer for pick 1 was sort of a myth in how much value it was
It was basically pick 5 and some pick upgrades for pick 1.
Two firsts and Bergman/Sinn etc. blows that away.
Two firsts+ Butters would be the biggest trade haul in history.
Means more likely that Rioli to Port falls over (i.e. Amon compensation pick is used for JHF)... especially with Port announcing that they won't be trading players for JHF.
Funny how no one gives a * when players from GC, GSW and even SA clubs request a trade home but when it happens to a Vic club, there's an issue with the draft and player power.
That would be the biggest trade haul in AFL history, doubt it and especially doubt Port would trade a player better than JHF for JHF (and attach a pick on top of it).
Come on man, is the same apology for writing up the article that is exactly the same as what Betts is releasing now?
They were clearly forced by their employer to do a mock apology to avoid potential legal fees
The story from Eddie Betts is quite important as it vindicates Caro and McClure - both deserve an apology from anyone that slammed them as this story from Betts is confirmation that they were 100% reporting the truth.
I recall the last time a club wasn't allowed to train last year, the AFL were quick to ban training at all other clubs.

Furthermore the AFL were quite pissed when Adelaide did some muck up...
They took selfie photos mask on with fans afterwards, those fans sent those photos to the AFL to help with the 'investigation'.
Not a big deal as you are making it out to be.
Melbourne have agreed to release Darren Burgess who will return to SA and join the Crows. Has tried to exit earlier. Football spend being reduced has made the decision easier for Melbourne, Crows contract will exempt him from any Covid/salary cap paycuts.
Got mentioned on TR that at one point a deal was close but fell apart as the Bulldogs thought they'd be getting Port's future second (via Fantasia) who decided to trade it for Aliir.
