    Training 2022 Training Reports

Great to hear the positive reports on NOD. I’m hoping he can develop in to a tall wingman, who can also role through the middle. Could be very important for us in the future with his versatility and booming kicking

    Numbers

In the past, the players we have traded in have been given preference if the lower numbers, that’s why we ended up with Conca/Acres/Aish with low numbers. So my guess would be: 5- Brodie 6- Clark 17 - Amiss 24- Erasmus 32- Johnson 38- Worner 40- Kelm Unless any players on the existing list want...

Club Focus Fremantle 2021 - Brodie, Clark, Amiss, Erasmus, Johnson, Benning

I think we will find that Chapman will more than likely develop in to a KPD. By all reports he has grown another 2-3cm, meaning he is around the 193-194cm range. That added to his athletic attributes could mean he can develop in to a serious rebounding CHB.

Prediction 2022 Best 22 Teams and discussion

Does anyone think that O’Driscoll has the capacity to become a wingman? From memory he has decent break away pace and a penetrating kick, so would be a tough match up. I seem to recall him playing on the wing for Perth in the league team in his draft year.

Game Day 2021 AFL Draft & AFL Rookie Draft

I don’t think we can really lose from here. It feels like everyone is getting caught up in the romance of Johnson. I would be very happy with him, but can also see why we would go with a more versatile option in Butler, Sonsie or Goater, as they can play multiple positions. Could be in for a...

Game Day 2021 AFL Draft & AFL Rookie Draft

I think if we want Johnson just take him, if we trade our pick a few spots, there is the risk of the Eagles trading in between our pick and getting him. After all, they did pick up that extra second round pick, I assume they will use that to trade up.

List Mgmt. 2021 Young Talent Time

I think that’s half the excitement with him, you are picking him on what he could potentially develop in to on the back of his athletic attributes. Adding him and Johnson with Will Brodie and potentially O’Driscoll in the future gives us some options of tall wingman/mids, to also go along with...

Is be pretty happy to walk away with that draft hand. Amiss is the KPF option we have been waiting to select for a long time, Johnson is a good Cerra replacement with his mix of inside/outside and then Goater is a great option for a wing with great pace. Would be very happy with that actually

For some reason I think we are going to go with Sinn with one of our first picks. I think he has the pace that sets him apart from some other mid options. My predictions are: 8. Amiss- think we will grab him with our first rather than risking Richmond taking him and with the mid options being...

The more I think of it, the more I think we are going to go with Johnson with one of our first picks. Seems to really fit the type of player we would go for with his height and versatility, Great replacement for Mundy. No idea what we will do with our other pick though

I’m really hoping for Erasmus, I think he’s exactly what we need, tall, quick, can go forward and kick a goal. Also really want Van Rooyen, whether we pick him at 8 (10) I’m not sure though. Potentially Erasmus and Rachelle with the first picks then look at trading 19 dot get further up if we...

Can confirm he was playing at Royal Freo golf course today.

What’s the knock on Greg Clarke? Seems to be putting together quite the season, big midfielder, mobile and seem alike good skills. Obviously doesn’t mind it tough either, 14 tackles so far.

Gee Benning really came in to his own them at quarter, rally got Claremont going. Looks to have all the tools to be a Ruck/forward. I think Van Rooyen could be our man at pick 8, after picking Erasmus at 6. That would be a great draft hall, then use our second round pick on Motlop or even Jack...

I went down and saw a couple of quarters of the colts: - Bartlett is a long way off any form of fitness and extremely slow. Obviously has a lot of natural talent though. - Amiss was presenting well in the second quarter and was involved taking a nice lead up mark but missing the set shot...

The longer the goes on, the more it looks like Cerra is going to request to go to the Demons.

I can see Motlop ending up at the Eagles, just to rub salt in. Small forward seems to be a bit of a hole for them, with Cripps ageing, Petrucelle useless etc

I still think there Is fair bit to play out here. I feel Lobb and I’ll be the key to unlocking the trade with Neale, meaning we still get two picks in the first round

It would be great to grab Amiss and Erasmus with our first two picks, carltons and ours, then hoping that big Mathew johnson slides to our next pick

Can’t imagine us getting more than one of Amiss, Van Rooyen or Williams, as we will take Benning as well.

Josh Cripps is definitely putting his beat foot forward in the second half of the season, 20 disposals, 3 goals, 5 marks and 16 HO

If we are keen on WA players returning back home, now is the time to strike. Similar to the reasoning for Cerra leaving, it has been a hard couple of years of not being able to see their family. In particular players in Vic and NSW have spent a lot of time in lockdowns, so the young guys drafted...

List Mgmt. 2021 Young Talent Time

As much as I really want some KPFs this year, a first round combination of Erasmus and Johnson would be pretty exciting. Then hoping we can jag one of Edwards or Van Rooyen with our second pick followed by Motlop and Benning. That footage of Johnson running out of centre clearances really...

On another note, does anyone know how Jack Carrol has come on this year at Carlton? Was a bit of slider in last years draft, looked a likely player pre-draft
  25. G

List Mgmt. 2021 List Management: Draft, Trade, Free Agency and Academy

Chris do you see Erasmus as a good forward option for us? Obviously has shown more of a midfield craft this year, but do you think he could be a good option with our first?
  26. G

List Mgmt. 2021 Young Talent Time

I wouldn’t mind taking Erasmus with our first, as he provides a bit of flexibility being able to play mid, wing and forward. Then trade Cerra, if he wants to leave, for Carlton’s first. We should look at trading this for two later picks in the early teens. Then look at bringing in Van Rooyen and...

List Mgmt. 2021 Young Talent Time

JVR looking very good for our first pick. I like the fact that he not only kicks goals, but also seems to be a high possession getter as well. Which means he is not a one trick pony and can play FF or CHF. Would be stoked with him at our first pick, then if Cerra decides to go to Carlton we will...

If we were to go for a mid with our first, what are the chances of Edwards, Van Rooyen or Amiss being there at our second pick?

Is Josh Cripps a chance to get drafted?
  30. G

List Mgmt. 2021 Young Talent Time

If we can get Edwards or Van Rooyen with our first then Benning with one of our later picks all of a sudden we have sown young key forwards/rucks to develop the team around, added to Treacey. Then if Cerra leaves, grabbing someone like Erasmus with that draft pick.
