The umpiring was trash but not the reason we lost by almost 10 goals.
The lack of resilience when things went south in the final term is the reason we lost by almost 10 goals.
Perhaps that's a lack of leadership with Nank and Taranto out?
Whatever the reason, it turned a respectable...
I felt this before the game: what was the point of dropping McAuliffe after the Port game?
He was in our top half in that game, and offers a bit more - in terms of speed at least - than most of our current starting mids.
I’m fine with Hopper OR Prestia in the side but not both.
Surely there’s...
My frustration with Faull is, forwards can have bad games, but he didn't even compete against Idun when the ball was near them. For God's sake at least do the basics.
It was reasonable, apart from the result.
carlton had better than a five goal advantage from playing last week and we’re one kick away from rolling them.
Not too many changes. Maybe Brown in for Faull, who likely misses one week.
Ruck is a real problem. The rule changes seem to make it very easy to score from a clear hit out and it didn’t matter who was in the middle or back six for us, they couldn’t get a handle on it. Any side with a strong, experienced ruckman is going to score heavily against us.
I don’t think a different coach would make a bag of beans of difference.
Frankly that Adelaide side (on paper at least) should beat us by 10 goals. They’re that much further ahead in development.
The truth is the younger players we most want to see in action have been out injured anyway. This is...
What the **** are you talking about? What makes you think Yze tried to save the game? Richmond had more than enough inside 50s to win it. The players didn’t execute. That is on them.
Nope. Coach had nothing to do with it. Players panicked and stopped following instructions.
Yze is not on the ground. The players made poor decisions. The coach can’t kick it (or rather play on) for them. That’s on the players.
Max Gawn is still a very, very good player.
It's not that Nank had a bad game. It’s just that Gawn was simply better, and that was the difference. Sometimes you just have to acknowledge the opposition bloke did a really good job and leave it at that.
I'm not quite as out on Rioli. He is a...
That’s a terrible team. Hopper, Taranto and Dow are our only blokes capable of winning a contested ball against a side like Gold Coast. Try again. This is junk.
That second half was unacceptable.
The number of stupid pointless kicks across the middle of the ground just to keep possession is doing my head in.
And when the inevitable turnover happens no one is set up defensively so an easy score for the opposition.
Seriously, move it was some sense of...
