Willem made the 2023 team of the year in the Mid Gippsland Football League Seniors from just 7 games. he kicked 23 goals, with a few bags of 6
i’ve already heard quite a few comments of people thinking he will be better than Zane.
he’s done his knee 3 times, 2015 & 2016 (right knee), 2017 (left knee), so he’s going to need some luck with his body.
he’s a high level character and very dedicated to his footy.
he can play forward and back, takes a strong contested mark and plays with some physicality/aggression.
after his playing days with Carlton and Collingwood in the AFL, he then went onto play with Footscray in the VFL where he was basically a playing coach and was very important to the young players development. He captained Footscray to the VFL premiership in 2016. Once his VFL playing career was...
i hear Jordan Russell has been offered a coaching position at NM, in charge of the midfield.
he was supposed to be coaching Footscray in the VFL next year, but will most likely accept the position at NM
he will be a great addition to the coaching panel.
it is a bit of a risk.. but i can’t see Adelaide finishing too high next year.
it also depends on how both clubs rate this years draft compared to next years etc.
we would get a better form line on next years draftees though, compared to this years draftees (due to the covid interrupted season).
their future first round pick and a few sweeteners.
they have picks 9,22,23.
other clubs mentioned in a pick swap for pick 2 have been Gold Coast, Essendon, GWS, Collingwood
Adelaide could start their rebuild with two young kpp in McDonald and Thilthorpe
he coached my brother in the VFL last year and he has a very positive opinion of him as a coach.
he was very highly regarded by the playing group and the rest of the club.
good luck to him tmrw.
was Adam Kingsley ever in the running? he’s definitely got a lot of experience as an assistant coach
Nash Holmes (Essendon VFL) has been offered a contract to play with the NM VFL team in 2018.
NM have offered a better financial deal than Essendon, he is currently weighing up his options to stay at Essendon or transfer to NM.
He's a tough inside midfielder, a capable ball winner/clearance...
I wonder if the link to McCartin is to bluff Geelong into taking him at pick 22, hopefully allowing a midfielder through to our pick.
i would be happy with Nathan Kreuger with a late pick.
