I think that's it for Aus
1 gold will have to do this time.
It was so much better when we spent millions on sport and other countries didn't and we could pretend we where good at stuff.
Ok hear it is.
Firstly, to the f** that stole my idea for the fixture and called it the fixture,F U MF.
k heres how you do it.
Its a lottery yeah ?
But the trouble is this.
9th cant get pick 1.
Last needs the most help?
Wont a team tank to get into the lottery ?
Yes,yes and yes...
My favorite sport is boxing, its also the only sport where the combatant and coach meet often and its all heard by the viewer, and the boxer pretty much never does what hes told. Especially when hes losing.
80% of what happens on the filed is instinct.
One in around 10000 high school basketball starting players will play in the NBA. While the AFL can't compete with those salaries there would be plenty of great athletes who don't make it to those leagues and being an AFL rookie beats workng at a gas station for $5 an hour.
People definitely overated the influence of a gameplan on what they see in the field. I know people who think we played one against Freo and North but completely changed it for the Richmond game in between.
GC and GWS could list players that refuse to sign with them as one of their 12 players, in which case those players couldn't play for any other team for 2 years.

Those 17 year olds had to go to GWS or sit out the draft for 2 years. There's no way Shiel or Treloar would go to GWS if they could go to Collingwood or Whoever.
That's more to do with it being a game contrived from a Rugby union training drill where possession is gifted to each side in turn and can't be won back.
Talk about missing the point.
There has always been good players. I could list a whole bunch that play today. Not sure if your bright enough to understand what a talent pool is but it is much larger now than it was in those days due to a larger population, higher partipation rages and expansion...
Those players wouldn't make much difference, maybe they'd lose by 100 instead of 120 but in 4 years no one will remember that and that's 6 kids that you don't have. It's not like GWS where taking picks in the 80s all their kids have potential.
No need, its actually one of the rules the umps are fairly consistent on.
Everyone knows you get a fair bit more than 15 m , so you can have a loose 15 m rule or a tighter 20m rule but the results the same.
Do people realize 30-40 years ago there was a lot less talent ( virtually none from nsw ,qld) spread amongst 30+ teams from vfl, sanfl and wafl.
Yet somehow 18 teams from all over aus is spreading the talent thin.
Geez Demetriou used to get a game FFS.
This is kinda like saying I put my kid in Auskick and he's been going for a couple of months now but he's nowhere near as good as Luke Hodge. It's pretty clear that my kid is a failure at footy.
I doubt Smith will go, it would change the team balance. His run is massive and He is a good kick, just butchering it a bit ATM.
I think Savage might go out.
The Cats are just running into form too. Still, the only way they win is if we let the past get in our heads.
This is really the first time in those 8 losses that we can say we are the better side.
