    I'd take Shiel in a heartbeat but I actually don't think he's what Essendon really needs (not to say he's not a very good pick-up regardless). IMO they're crying out for quality inside mids, they got plenty of outside run.

    Lets face it, he'd be great in the midfield Crippa needs all the support that he can get. I'd love to have him. Having said that, I'd be more than happy to land Walsh and McGovern.

    I agree with you but to be fair, Brett had mentioned Shiel going to Carlton (either at the end of 2018 or 2019) long before there was any Shiel talk. Ofcourse that doesn't make it a lock BUT where there's smoke there's fire.
