Which is worse, changing AFL teams or changing to the NRL?

It seems to me that scandals might give somebody a legitimate reason to reject their football team and look for something new. Somebody upthread talked about the Essendon drug scandal, but there could also be, for example, a racism or rape scandal that might be intolerable. We know that any team...

Review R8: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly vs. Port Adelaide

How did Murray look as a marking forward? Have we found him a good role?

Review R8: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly vs. Port Adelaide

Would it be possible to have a camera at the top of the post pointing up, or even lasers, to actually settle if the ball was above the post?

Review R8: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly vs. Port Adelaide

And we had two injuries and several big outs. I think we can reasonably hope that the team will be in better shape later this year. For now, the best thing we can do is bank the four points.

    Autopsy AFL 2026 Round 8 - Crows v Port Fri May 1st 8:10pm AEST/7:40pm (AO)

19 tackles is rarely achieved. 20 tackles has happened once (Laird), this is the fourth time for 19 tackles (with Liberatore, Ziebell and Bolton).

The traditional Big 4 Melbourne clubs - who's closer to a premiership

Collingwood is on the way down, Carlton and Essendon have become perpetually hopeless, so maybe Richmond's kids are the answer.

The rebuilds of Adelaide and North Melbourne

It's a bit early to suggest this is likely. Adelaide have played: Collingwood (away), Bulldogs, Geelong (away) and Fremantle, and haven't started as favourites for any match. North have played: Port Adelaide, West Coast, Essendon and Carlton. Their performances are encouraging, but they...

Opinion Which South Australian team will finish higher in 2026?

They've had very different draws to this point. Adelaide have played two bogey teams away and two premiership fancies, and haven't started any match as favourite. (They've also had a lot of outs). 1/4 seems bleak (especially with all these narrow losses), but it's close to expectation. Port...

Autopsy AFL 2026 Round 3 - Cats v Crows Thurs March 26th 7:30pm AEDT (GMHBA)

I’m not that convinced by Geelong - I think they’ve peaked - but Adelaide never win in Geelong. Maybe this year.

Surely they have a game scheduled against Essendon.

Come on. Surely you also think he looks like a caveman.

    2026 Ladder Predictions

A bit late to this party, and I know there’s some silly top 10 thing now, but I think in the top 8: Collingwood and GWS out, Bulldogs and Sydney in. I can’t see any other teams make a big leap from outside the finals.

Autopsy AFL 2026 Round 1 - Pies v Crows Sat March 14th 7:35pm AEDT (MCG)

GWS widely tipped to not make finals. I wouldn't read too much into it.

    The Premiership favourite- 2025

If we're talking historical trends, the number of teams that have lost five out of their last ten minor suit games and won the flag is zero, in well over 100 years.

    The Premiership favourite- 2025

Adelaide has this year been responding to head-to-head losing streaks with fifteen goal wins.

    The Premiership favourite- 2025

On Collingwood’s formline, 20% is generous. Their last seven matches is the stuff of teams finishing 12-15. I guess you would have us believe that they were really favourites against Hawthorn and Brisbane

They generally follow the money, not the odds. And the money can be stupid.

    The Premiership favourite- 2025

Given Collingwood’s recent form, 40% is very generous. Try the sums again with 20%.

Autopsy AFL 2025 First Qualifying Final - Crows v Pies Thursday Sept 4th 7:40pm AEST/7:10pm CST (AO)

Weird. The AFL has apologised publicly to Adelaide for umpiring mistakes that cost them a game, five times in the last three years. How many times have they apologised to Collingwood or Hawthorn?

Carlton a flag chance in 2026.

It feels like their list is much too top-heavy to achieve anything much.

    The Premiership favourite- 2025

Recent games against Hawthorn and Collingwood were also a bit finalsesque.

    The Premiership favourite- 2025

Brisbane has injury worries. Geelong hasn’t beaten a contender for nearly three months Adelaide hasn’t played finals for eight years. And Collingwood’s form is so irredeemably shite that they can practically be ruled out despite the above concerns.

West coast in crisis talks between players and coaches

I misread the title of this thread as “West Coast in crisis talks with players and cocaine”. I thought “that’s just like the old days”.
