Re: Whose Trade Bait?
What would you want for Tenace? Is he an inside or outside mid or an allrounder?, iv'e seen a few games and i had this wierd idea he was inside.
Iv'e watched more than just the grand final mate. Brad Miller is hardly a good player, he was lucky to not get delisted IMO, plus your midfield was dominant so the ball wouldn't have gone down there as much as they would have liked. Sure he can play 3rd/4th tall, but Goddard has played KP when...
He defends as well as attacking off half back, just like Scarlett does. Mackie just runs it off half back and and doesn't do too much defending. Mackie was tried out in the midfield and forward line and wasn't good enough to take a position in either position so he was sent to half back and IMO...
I watched alot of Cats games, how could i not when they were playing the exciting brand of football each week.
He does win his own ball yes, but he is a playmaker, so every opportunity his team mates had to lay it off to him, they'd hand ball it off to him and he'd set up play, and that where...
Ablett is the better player, but i'd rather Mitchell. The Bombers are in need of inside players, and im a huge fan of inside players which is why i'd go Mitchell. PLUS, without any good inside midfielders in out team feeding it off to Ablett at every opportunity they get all the time like...
Re: Draft Discussion
We shold go for the best available midfielder with our first pick, we should end up with one of Masten/Ebert/Morton (in order of preference).
With our 2nd we should go best available, Vezpremi is the one i'd be most interested in and hope he'd fall to that pick.
KPP...
I don't care, i just hate Carlton more than i do Collingwood and i would rather Carlton suffer down at the bottom of the ladder than be knocking on the door of the top 8.
I wouldv'e rathered he goto Melbourne if he was coming our way, but since he's not i'd rather he goto Collingwood and i think he will, because they're finals bound next year and have A grade facilities and lots of $$$$.
Those 5 people who voted would have to be Doggies supporters......or just have rocks in their heads i guess.
Stanton Ave Disposals for 07: 23, managed to get over 20 disposals 16 times in 07 and has has 18 Brownlow votes through his career
Ray Ave Disposals for 07: 15, only managed to get over...
He wasn't a dud, obviously because he led us to quite a few premierships, but what i was implying is that Sheedy has been known to pull a few odd moves over his time, some good, some bad, and i was just mentioning a few bad ones.
Matty Knights has the plan to concentrate on skills and make them...
That's just like us offering Mark Johnson and our rounder for Darren Jolly, it's just not gonna happen. If you are going to offer us a player, make sure he's under 22, because we're kind of in a mini rebuilding phase, ok.
Having said that, what could you offer us?
Although Knights seems to be...
Well it's Kevin Sheedy we're talking about! He played Lucas back for a few games, then shoves him back into the forward line in the last quarter and he kicks 7 goals, and Bolton (the crap player he is) somehow ended up with 124 games under his belt whilst Sheeds was at the helm. Surely that says...
It's a good design, but it looks more like a training guernsey, not a gameday guernsey. IMO, the designs need to include/incorporate the red sash with red and black colours in it.
Goddard, alround good player with good skills, can play KP, can play running half back, midfield or even forward with his massive kick.
Mackie is a good player, but in my eyes he's just a half backer with good skills, i dont rate attacking half backs because nearly anyone can play the role and...
They didn't need the help of another KP player, they needed help from small, medium forwards, why would we bring in another Key forward on top of Lloyd, Lucas and our ruckman resting in the forward line? We need forward pressure you know and you cant do that with all these KP players.
I don't...
1. If we had a quality midfielder like Masten winning the ball, the ball wouldn't even be in our backline as much.
2. How many KP backs who are drafted early become elite backman? Darren Glass is the only one that comes to mind. The rest i think are drafted late, or were rookies.
Lets go...
Why? It's not like Prismall is a quality young gun, he's just a very good young player. We can't just keep on getting great midfielders (i.e Prismall) because it will get us nowhere, we need quality outstanding midfielders if we're going to build a good team for the future.
Go mid with our first, hopefully Masten will be available, if not Ebert. Then with our 2nd (KPP unless there is still a decent mid left eg. Vezpremi), 3rd (Daniher), 4th (KPP or Ruck).
Scott Thomson, the backman from the Geelong VFL side may be an option for us to pick up with one of our later...
