Just wondering if anyone remembers this little masterpiece of Australian Engineering.
The Giocattolo Group B
It was based on a heavily modified Alfa Romeo Sprint with a Holden 5.0L V8. 15 were built in 1988.
I think it is one of the most beautiful cars ever built.
3pts - Nick Larkey
2pts - Harry Sheezel
1pt - Will Phillips
Apologies to Scott, Goater, Ford, Curtis, Bergman, Simpkin, Powell, Thomas, Lazzaro and Corr.
Collingwood have just announced that Scott Pendlebury has re-signed for the 2024 season, he has currently played 370 games and he is only 35. This new deal will take him past 400 games and possibly up to 410. Could he play on another season and break Brent Harvey's 432 game record?
This video popped up on my You Tube feed this morning, and it got me thinking what are some of my favourite or most memorable moments from the Bathurst 1000.
I've been a Nissan fan since the days of the Bluebird Turbo of the Group C, and despite being "the worst touring car ever" the DR30...

Congrats Rachael on a great career.
The lower tiers of German football have already started their season and it looks like it is going to a tough season for Karlsruher, they lost their opening game 5-0 last week and at halftime today they are already down 3-0.:(
EDIT: Karlsruher ending up losing 3-2.
There are a number of big...
With Parramatta now in the NRLW competition I'm paying more attention to it. We are about halfway through the second game and I'm impressed with the athleticism of the backs and the power of the forwards. The Brisbane fullback (Tamika Upton) looks like the complete package, she's tall, mobile...
Another legend of Australian cricket has passed away, allrounder Alan Davidson dies aged 92.

RIP Alan
Normally someone else would have started an MVP thread within a few minutes of the game finishing, but they must still be in shock.
So vote here.
Remember 3pts goes to Wright, her value in our defense can not be measured. ;)
3pts - Garner
2pts - Gilroy
1pt - Kearney
North Melbourne seem to have a lot of enjoyable, exciting regular seasons ruined by terrible, embarrassing finals campaigns.
In my lifetime, these are the one I remember.
1983 - A rather bizarre season if I remember correctly, we won three games by over 100 points but lost to Fitzroy by 150...
With the Coronavirus having a massive effect on daily life and football, I was thinking about which games I would like to see replayed over the coming months and there are plenty to choose from, but what about games you've heard amazing stories about but will never get to see because they...
The draw is out for the new Scottish season which begins on August 3, and defending Champions Celtic play their first game at home against St. Johnstone, while Ross County returns to the Premiership with a home game against Hamilton. The best game of the opening round is probably Aberdeen at...
20 years ago today the most memorable moment in football took place. At least for Carlisle United fans. On-Loan Goalkeeper Jimmy Glass scored the winning goal in the 94th minute to keep us in the Football League at the expense Scarborough.
At the start of the day we were a point behind...

The Scottish Premier League is probably going to be another bore with Celtic claiming the title before Christmas, but it could be a different story with the Scottish Championship, with no Rangers, Hearts or Hibs to skew the results.
The BBC commentators from article below believes this season...
As the title suggests, how did the team or teams you support fair in season 2016/17.
England: CARLISLE UNITED – Started the season strongly losing just once in the first half the season to sit second at New Year, but collapsed in the second half of the season losing 10 of 18 before finishing...

Five rounds into the Scottish Season and no thread, so I though I would start one.
I thought I would start it something a little different. This little rant is from a passionate Kilmarnock supporter who lost 4-0 at home to Ross County, with the Staggies scoring all four goals before halftime...
Next season it looks almost certain the 400 games club will double in size with Dustin Fletcher and Brent Harvey joining Michael Tuck and Kevin Barlett to reach that amazing milestone. Do you think we will ever see another player reach 400 games?
What about Adam Goodes? He is 5 short of 350...
The AFL recognises February 11 1869 as the day the North Melbourne Football Club was formed.
Not sure how they came up with that date, but anyway
Happy 145th Birthday NMFC :)
Vancover/Seattle rockers Heart have a new album titled FRANTIC and autobiography titled KICKING AND DREAMING: A STORY OF HEART, SOUL AND ROCK AND ROLL due for release in early October.
If the album is anything like RED VELVET CAR it should be welcome return to their seventies style rock, but...

Will Swanton should become a national selector. This is one of the finest idea's I've heard for winning back the ashes.
I have absolutely no doubt that Australia is a better place to live than the UK, we have a better lifestyle, climate, sporting teams (most of the time) and I think the people are nicer. But ocassionaly I do feel a little jealous of the Brits and what they have, and as someone who is fascinated...
