I expect to see Barnett dropped but I don't regret playing him. It's worth him getting a game every now and then so he gets to experience exactly what it takes to be an AFL ruck. Then he can go back to WAFL a few weeks and work on his craft at a more appropriate level for his development.
That's part of why it is worst case. Yes, it would put stress on other parts of the foot. However, this is the course of action taken when leaving the bone in is worse than the stress resulting from removing it. But they'll always try every other avenue first.
The issue with a new song is it risks being as unliked as the current new song.
At the very least some iteration of the original/s has the connection with premierships, so nostalgia 'helps'.
I was a member back in the early 2000's but moved away, so relinquished it. Finally back ITW's and just used that to buy tickets to 2 games this year with my son. Saints & Kangas...hopefully in with a chance of a win :D
I'm probably biased because I go for the Scorchers...but part of why we're so successful is we 'generally' don't need the same people to perform each time, someone else tends to step up. Time will tell of couse!
All articles like that from Suma do is demonstrate how out of touch he is.
So much of the pre-Christmas training seems to be under the guidance of the fitness staff, this is -the- time to go away. Once the new year hits it'll be all systems go.
Alright, 3 in a row and we're officially midfield. We're probably getting some pretty important answers through this stretch so that helps!
What do we do with Jones?
It'll be fascinasting to see what the Giants do for GB at the end of this year. We're still a long way off and Devito unlikely to be the answer, but we look a WHOLE lot better with him than Jones.
I too have never been a fan of co-captains. A leadership team to spread the load is fine, but one main 'captain' just feels right. However, if it has to be this, this pairing is good.
So that high end pick getting less and less likely.
I can never bring myself to want to lose. These last two victories have been a pleasant surprise, however, probably helping towards short term gain for long term pain :(
It'd be very current era giants to skip QB
I'm definitely in the camp of draft QB, give Jones a chance but young QB can take over if Jones is bust.
It's disappointing that he's not having a good season this year. I might actually start following the potential QBs a little more closely these next few weeks, we'll see!
I whole heartedly agree Jones has been terribly unfortunate with who he's had to play with. However...its SUCH a big risk to stick with him if we do get a high pick.
I read somewhere about the merits of drafting a QB and having them on a rookie contract next year while we absorb the year with...
With Jones torn ACL confirmed, it'll be fascinating to see what the franchise chooses to do. They went all in on Jones and it's backfired terribly so far.
After last season I'll admit I'd hoped he'd turned the corner and could be functional in the role. Not so far this year!
I quite liked TT...
We had some really good moments... And a few right royal brain farts.
We probably need a new game plan but that's not easy to completely switch mid season. Use the rest of this season to work out what players can take us forward and try a few things to learn what we can do.
