Coming from a non-fan of Kanye West, this is a damn good doco. Just a 3 parter on Netflix.
From watching a young (almost likeable) Kanye hustle to get his break in the industry - to seeing the babbling, lost soul he became. The access is pretty incredible. Worth a look.
So this is an upcoming Aussie drama which got produced by FX in the US. They’re releasing it end of Sept.
It’s Based on the Aussie cult movie, The Magician, basically about a hit man/ family man trying to get by.
Directed by Nash Edgerton, with Scott Ryan, Brooke Satchwell (from neighbours)...
Recently got into this podcast, it's a this American Life production and although very different to Serial...it's pretty gripping. Well first 5 eps are, still making my way through it.
Would have to be based on one of the most intriguing characters I've come across in a while.
If you liked...
Heard a rumour this was in the works and just recently read articles confirming that Milch is currently penning the conclusion to the Deadwood saga for HBO.
Being one of my faves of all time, can't wait for this.
So we come to the end of another year in music - would be interesting to see ppl's top 10's.
Mainly because I'm sure there's some albums out there that I haven't heard about - that would be worth checking!
Here's mine.
1) Alt -J - An awesome Wave
2) Grizzly Bear - Shields
3)...
There's isn't a heap of footage out for this yet...but from what I've seen looks to be another HBO Drama winner.
Great pedigree - with Michael Mann directing the pilot and producing.
David Milch (creator of Deadwood) writing.
Dustin Hoffman & Nick Nolte in leading roles...
Can't find anything on this yet. ITV drama which has been bought by Seven here and after watching just two eps let me just say this... ITS QUALITY.
Be interesting to see if it rates on Seven - as their promos have been skewed to a pretty young audience so far. They used a Keisha track I...
Saw this at the cinemas yesterday, not a bad film actually...except for a few holes, but the highlight was by far the opening sequence.
Had to pull my eyes away from the screen, intense.

They call this technique the infinity zoom.
Apparently done with 4 or 5...
If you could write/produce/suggest the topic for the next great aussie drama what would it be??
I work in the TV industry and am constantly appalled by the lack of imagination and willingness from the commercial networks to try something new.
So without giving away storylines or fleshing out...
So recently received an email from my internet provider TPG - which was basically a forwarded complaint they got from Showtime in the US.
I'd been illegally downloading Dexter S5 (which is awesome)
Showtime went on to say that TPG should cancel my internet connection and if downloading...
1927 - Sydney.
Two flamboyant women, Tilly Devine & Kate Leigh ran the show.
Based on the razor gangs that ruled Surry Hills, Darlinghurst, (razorhurst).
It's certainly an ambitious project...nailing the set design, costume, language of the 20's and keeping the story interesting will be a...
Same show, different channel. Will the shift to Nine help Top Gear reach the masses around Australia or is it going to hurt the brand and turn away the hardcore fans?

Hi I'm in Goa at the moment and although the AFL say they're screening the GF via the Australian network in India...nobody has even heard of that channel here.
Does anyone know of a stream that might be going?
Any suggestions would be hugely appreciated.
cheers!
Since the season is all but over, let’s have a look at the side, the strengths, weaknesses and who should play where in 2010…and who shouldn’t be there at all!
This is what I’d consider to be our most potent line up.
BROWN GILHAM GUERRA
LADSON CROAD ELLIS
YOUNG HODGE...
Besides Rioli and Bateman, who else gives us genuine foot speed through the middle and off half back?
we've got great inside midfielders, Sewell, Mitch, Lewis, Hodge (if he ever gets to play there again). Who else breaks the lines though?
When you look at our half backs, we aint blessed...
I know he's one of the best at cutting off opposition attacks down back, and we are struggling with defenders right now, but I think we can get more from Hodgy at the centre bounce.
Sure send him down back now and again through rotation, but would love to see him become one of the premiere...
Before I begin, let me explain that this is just an idea, I don't really know the facts about individual state leagues or if this is possible, but as a concept I think it would be an exciting twist to the pre season comp.
Been spending time in London and something that makes the FA Cup great...
