    Mid Season Draft

From what I have seen of May …he’s not that good West is a better player anyway for me

Unofficial Preview Changes & Pre-match Discussion: Round 9 vs. Geelong, Sat 09/05 at 7:35pm (MCG)

McCreery, Howe and Pendlebury all in Perryman will miss with injury. if Sidebottom isn’t injured and neither is Cameron, I’d be dropping Long. Parker will probably also have to make way for Howe. Tempted to also play Bobby Hill personally in front of our own home game fans.

    Player Watch Ed Allan

He looks too good at VFL level I think he’s maturing well I don’t see him being cut at seasons end with the way his development is going. There will be others that go before him
  4. H

    Player Watch Tyan Prindable

I’m still not sure on this kid He still walks and jogs around There isn’t a sense of urgency or quickness in his game …and if he isn’t at a Pendlebury level to play in such a manner—-then I don’t see him being a player Fly will select.

    Mid Season Draft

Must use this as an opportunity to get another prospect in before the end of the year

With Perryman out hopefully he stays in and gets some games now

Oppo Camp Other Clubs News/General Discussion (Part 2)

Had that “strengths and weaknesses” been against us and it got out before the game .. I guarantee Maynard and co would have taken heads off legally or illegally. How the bombers players didn’t do anything is embarrassing on them
  8. H

    Player Watch Darcy Moore

The skip will be fine as he builds into the season Kept Gunston goalless His timing in air will return Keep him fit and healthy

    Review Round 8 = Collingwood 93-93 Hawthorn

Considering the outs we were forced into, the injuries through the night and the 5 day turnaround …we held up really well We have stabilised our season and have set our sights on the long game this time round. Young kids getting games and growing Senior guys finding form Scoring prowess...

VFL VFL Round 6 v Box Hill Hawks. Friday May 1st. 7:05pm @ Kennedy Community Centre.

We have some good young kids underneath developing well on what I have seen so far this season in the twos. Allan playing on ball in the seniors ..we need to see it He offers so much more tha bc a guy like Long and he isnt a wingman Will Phillips is gonna be an interesting watch to see if we...

    2026 Trade / FA Thread

King is going. The moment to secure his future financially is now and the time is right to return to Victoria No aspirations to sign long term at GC pretty much makes the decision a no brainer really

Game Day Match Discussion: Round 8 vs. Hawthorn, Thur 30/04 at 7:30pm (MCG)

Not sure why we have chosen Long … Could have gone a more explosive runner like Harrison
  13. H

    Player Watch Roan Steele

He is a very balanced footballer and has some very good skill level That set shot was clutch.
  14. H

    Player Watch Patrick Lipinski

He has found some desire again and is much cleaner below his knees Good to see

    Toast Round 7 = Essendon 60-137 Collingwood

I think also selecting Hayes and keeping him whilst dropping Long as a pure forward gives us a slicker look with more speed. I’m not sure Long can play in this team unless we rest say Pendles because Anderson is also better forward of the ball too
  16. H

    Player Watch Oscar Steene

His ruck craft is exceptional for a player of his age Athleticism and his relationship with Naicos in particular is great to watch
  17. H

    Player Watch Scott Pendlebury

    Legendary player
  18. H

    Player Watch Will Hayes

He stays in the team His leg speed and creativity is needed inside 50 and forward of centre He will get better with more games

You just knew Elliott was going to not score and stop the 100 score being raised lol

The problem is this was the game to play them Against Barrass , Sicily and Battle is gonna be extremely difficult

Game Day Match Discussion: Round 7 vs. Essendon Sat 25/04 at 3:15pm (MCG) ANZAC Day

Our scoring profile is going to plan. I very much think it’s as much structure as it is talent forward of the ball Yes Elliott and Naicos burned some shots on goal but we can’t have key forward decoys ..especially if we are eventually going to kick it long down the line. The quicker West...

Game Day Match Discussion: Round 7 vs. Essendon Sat 25/04 at 3:15pm (MCG) ANZAC Day

We are the worst handballing team It takes hours for the ball to arrive to a teammate who is then under pressure

Game Day Match Discussion: Round 7 vs. Essendon Sat 25/04 at 3:15pm (MCG) ANZAC Day

I’m not doubting their quality but at the moment they are ruining scoring chains that should be walk ins

Game Day Match Discussion: Round 7 vs. Essendon Sat 25/04 at 3:15pm (MCG) ANZAC Day

It’s coming our way too easy and we aren’t in position behind the ball it just goes along the outer side too easy with very little pressure. Need to fix this structurally

Game Day Match Discussion: Round 7 vs. Essendon Sat 25/04 at 3:15pm (MCG) ANZAC Day

Anything Elliott, Crisp and Jaicos touch …pretty much turns to shit They’re making poor decisions every time

    Player Watch Noah Howes

It’s a blessing in disguise really as we really needed to add a player in the MSD for me and get in another opportunity before seasons end

    VFL VFL Round 5 v Essendon - Anzac eve - Friday April 24. 2:05pm @ KGM Centre

Cochrane may work better as a third tall back. He isn’t a key back in the sense Howes on the other hand has a commanding presence and physical capacity to want to compete and mark the ball

    VFL VFL Round 5 v Essendon - Anzac eve - Friday April 24. 2:05pm @ KGM Centre

I had doubts when we drafted him watching his tape alone…which isn’t indicative of how good a player is or can be but his tape was so underwhelming …and now watching him basically jog contest to contest like there no care in the world …he isn’t a modern day midfielder Dare I say it ..he plays...

    Player Watch Noah Howes

This was a huge positive in the VFL match yesterday He was great as a key back Intercept marking and was strong in air. We are crying out for key back depth and someone to put pressure on for spots…I think he has found his go down back
