    News New Jumpers for 2024

With Carlton there was a link to Ian Collins who was involved at Carlton and Docklands. Can't remember the ins and outs of it all, but that's my recollection

Better #1 Draft Pick - Nick Riewoldt or Luke Hodge

I had this argument with an old Hawthorn supporting mate many moons ago (whilst both players were still running around)... who was the better number one draft pick with the better career. Nick Riewoldt OR Luke Hodge He'd always revert back to premierships... I'd always revert to the better...

    Losing WEG posters 03-06

Long time bump once again... does anyone have decent resolution images of 1989/1994/1995 Geelong's? I've looked everywhere online and haven't had much luck in finding them. Thanks :-)

Gawn and Grundy - a failure?

How is it arrogance "wanting Gawn to continue to be the main ruck"? He is the best ruckman in the competition by a long long way on his day (irrespective of English being named AA). If you've got the best ruckman, why would you play him 70% out of the goal square? It is an experiment that...

Toast What are some of the greatest calls made in history?

Not football... but this is probably the best call I've ever heard. Rodney Hogg whilst playing district cricket for Waverley-Dandenong in 1989 played against a young blonde-haired leg spinner. The kid dominated, and Hogg kept him in the memory bank. When that kid got selected for Victoria a...

The best teams at NOT going back to back

Melbourne 1958. End thread. Runner-up 1954 Premiers 1955 Premiers 1956 Premiers 1957 Runner-up 1958 Premiers 1959 Premiers 1960 1958 was one of our most dominant seasons in that period, finishing three games clear on top of the ladder. Beat eventual premier in the home and away season, and...

MRP / Trib. Kossie Pickett hit on Bailey Smith

All these Doggies supporters preaching "Oh, it's not a good look for the game", "think of the brain", blah blah blah. You know what is a worse look for the game and probably worse for the brain? The bloke he dumped on his arse racking up and doing nose beers. Where was the Doggies outrage then???

MRP / Trib. Kossie Pickett hit on Bailey Smith

3-5 weeks, yet the bloke he hit was caught engaging in an illegal activity, and only got 2 weeks? You kidding!? Should be given a medal for putting him on his arse.

MRP / Trib. Kossie Pickett hit on Bailey Smith

You're calling him a maggot, yet the bloke he hit has a drug problem. Pretty sure you have issues yourself. Jog on!

Not being a smartarse at all... so respectfully saying it does make sense when you consider that Geelong just fielded the oldest team in V/AFL history on the weekend. All era's come to an end eventually.

Not so much a 2023 guernsey... just a follow up to my post earlier today. After seeing Rubber Arm's awesome template I thought I'd make my own. Here it is. A bit rough around the edges, but the base of it is there. Can tidy up later on :)

Melbourne are 0-4 against the top 4

Taking it fine... life goes on. Didn't see me online chirping when your side was knocked out by a kick. Must be stuck for ideas on what to do with your September considering your side isn't playing. Jumping online to chirp away when another side (actually in finals) loses seems like a good...

Autopsy AFL 2022 Round 17 - Cats v Demons Thurs July 7th 7:20pm EST (GMHBA)

Geelong have played well, but they're legit treating this like a do or die final... look at the celebrations by Scott/Hawkins/etc. Let's see how they go when the other team treats it like a final too and lift 4-5 gears.

WCE peak Judd was better than peak GAJ and peak Dustin Martin

I'd agree... WC Judd was the best midfielder I've seen. Was just a level above.
