Its an interesting situation. Most clubs will be able to cope with whatever it is amended to next year though. Chelt hasn't been over 28 points since Round 3 and have been 23 or 24 for past five weeks.
At no stage did I discredit anyone – I was merely explains the facts behind the boys returning to OB. But after all your cracks at the coach in your first few posts, to accuse anyone of 'discrediting' someone is frankly hilarious.
My understanding is that they had trained up until the point they...
Chelt are 3-0 without them; Old Brighton are 2-0 with them; and the Dewars get to play in the 1sts without having to train, just as they wanted.
Its a win-win-win for all concerned. Time for everyone to move on.
Thats your opinion and you are more than entitled to it.
As I mentioned, which you have conveniently overlooked, Dingley did a similar thing with Morwood. People questioned it at the time too, but its worked out OK I'd suggest. Everyone has to start somewhere!
The fact that you created an...
Worked OK for Dingley didn't it with Shane Morwood?!
As long as those inside the club know the direction and are committed to it, it matters little what those on the outside think. FWIW, I think he is going more than OK.
Your whole post couldn't be any further from the truth if it tried.
Planning for next three years started in off-season.
Smashed by injuries to older players so have an extremely young team - playing at least two under 19s each week on top of the majority of team being 22 or under.
Probably should have beaten Bentleigh and very competitive against Dingley at...
Farmer has a crook back.
But you are right, there are a truckload of players that aren't playing due to injury or unavailability (on holiday), plus there are quite a few more that didn't want to play. Unfortunately, rep footy doesnt hold the same prestige for a lot of our guys as it does for...
Love the Aguayo pick...even if we gave up a bit to come and get him. Value of kickers has never been higher and intel had a team trying to also come up into late 2nd round to get him.
I wasn't speaking about you BB...was referring to a few on page 1, so ease up - no need for the personal shots from behind a keyboard.
Some of the suggestions you made in your posts make sense and I agree.
Knowing a little bit about EB's current plight, BTL's post is pretty darn good. Its a unique challenge that the Vamps' face.
However, ultimately EB have been in this position before and have/will find a way to regenerate and come again. A proud club with plenty of good people behind the scenes...
VFL player who has left to play in same division. 6 points is fair enough IMO.
The extra point for transferring within the comp is a very good initiative.
Case in point. Pat Nicholls would have been a 3 point player at Chelt but is now a 6 point player at Bentleigh.
I like the way the system works but will take a maths geek on match committee to work it all out!
