I have supported this idea since 2006 and it was Rock07 that first mentioned it to me.
However, the WRFL don't want to do it, they don't want to start the trend, they reckon that it should be something done by AFL Victoria and not them on their own.
If the clubs want it, then it's a matter of...
To set everyone straight.
The Spotswood FC has a duty of care to their players, no different to any other club, if a player has been treated inappropriately and unfortunately an umpire didn't pick it up, but either by witnesses or video footage has, then the club has to stand by there player...
A really big congratulations to Spotswood.
7 consecutive Div 1 Grand Final appearances, no club in the WRFL/FDFL history has ever achieved this.
To have 17 of the 22 players today that had all played under age footy at Spotswood is also very rewarding for the club.
Go Woodsman and good luck...
Shep United are very hard at the ball, very slick and skillfull, might not be the toughest league though but will probably win.
As others have stated, Strathmore with some big names and Bell Park will more likly play off in Grand Final against Shep.
Bundoora will be up there but just miss out.
Not just a successful and great club, but also doing their bit for the Community.
Well done guys,
Check out the story here....

I can assure everyone that these plates are legitimate.
Have got the Vic Roads Transfer form all ready signed ready to go.
They were given to me from a past player to raise funds towards a young member that is currently struggling with pretty severe health issues.
They are currently over...
The Spotswood Football Club ran a fundraiser last weekend for Mitch Beattie, only 34 years old, who is a great club person over many many years. He is currently in hospital struggling a little, but in high spirits.
A set of Hawthorn Number Plates were donated to assist him with his fight with...

Hi grizzlym
Chism has advised that I should contact you about advertising a set of number plates which are being used as a fundraiser for a player at my football club who is 34 and has cancer.
Below is the link to the ebay page...
What are peoples thoughts if the league were to bring in a rule that to be eligible to have a team in Division 1 Seniors, you MUST have an Under 18 team?
Time to set everyone straight with some facts...
In 2003 the Point Cook FC applied to enter the WRFL, on this same night 2 other clubs applied to enter the WRFL. Old Westbourne and W/bee Centrals wanted just their juniors entered as their seniors were already in other competitions. Questions...
After speaking to Barry Preist, Braybrook have won 3 consecutive Premierships, twice, never won 4 in a row.
In 1954, 55, 56 and in 1973, 74, 75 In 1975 Braybrook drew with West Footscray and then the following week won.
What ever happened to having Grand Finals REPLAYED if there was a draw?
On behalf of the Spotswood Football Club I would like to pass on the clubs condolences to the family of Sean Wolfe and the North Sunshine Football Club.
There is nothing worse than enjoying playing football then a tragedy like this occurs.

i dont have a problem with woman or the SFC, but who i do have a problem with is the wrfl, why were SFC the only club to have a crack at her, when , as you say, the SFC is staying ahead of the other clubs, which it is based on success. And here is the WRFL having a forum on how to fix the gap...
A person very high up within the WRFL Umpires stated this at the last WRFL Meeting recently. 32 Senior umpires might include the goal and boundary umpires?
Maybe those differant ideas of keeping games going even though a fight occurs in the crowd and two players jump the fence and tension...
Heard two weeks ago that 28 of the 32 Senior Umpires want to call it quits with the WRFL and go to other leagues or not umpire at all.
This is due to the appointment of the Umpire Manager for season 2009.
Interesting times ahead or the WRFL. Imagine seeing the 2009 Grand Final with Club Umpires???
Just to set things straight here.
Spotswood only lodged their protest form after receiving Colts protest/dispute first.
What was Spotswood going to try and achieve by submitting a protest against Colts when the game was completed?
Come to think of it, maybe Spotswood should have submitted a...
There has been a lot of criticism about the night final being held at St Albans. I was in the League office only today and witnessed first hand the abuse the WRFL office staff are receiving and to tell you the truth, it wasn’t nice.
Yes, there is a ground at Yarraville, but the council will not...
Don't tell me you believe everything that is written in the Newspapers or even on Bigfooty?
I am yet to read the newspapers this week, but from what I have been told that has been printed this week, the truth has been twisted AGAIN.
If you heard last Saturday night in the Spotswood Rooms, it...
Has been confirmed tonight by the WRFL for ANZAC Day game Sunshine V's Spotswood.
12.15pm Reserves with a short RSL Service at 2.15pm and Seniors commencing at 2.30pm.
If weather is right, will be a huge crowd.

Re: Western Region Football League team
Here it is...
Round 1 for the 2008 season
Altona V's West Footscray
Glenorden V's Yarra/Seddon
Port Colts V's Sunshine
StAlbans V's Albion
Spotswood V's Hoppers
Here is my view on the situation being spoken about over the past two pages.
Spotty do have many players that had played juniors at Altona previously, this was due to a short period of time when Altona didn't have Under 18's so the place to go was Spotswood, rather than Laverton or Willy but a...
