    I’ve got a better word than silly… Of course it’s about the environment..it’s a transition… it takes time…. But it’s working and destroying the need for gas is proof. Coal is a constant generator at the moment, but plant by plant they are being shut down and will be completely replaced over time.

    Imagine going into an election with a policy of scrapping net zero whilst energy prices are falling, and renewables are working. Batteries have killed the need for gas during evening peaks… now they are just needed for back up.
