Our turnovers were dreadful, particularly in the first-half (see Cole and Petrol).
BUT LET'S BLOODY ENJOY THIS WIN! A lot of positives since the Sydney game.
The biggest issue with our club is our list. The list management of the club from the end of 2018 for the next three to four years was poor.
I've long been against the Kelly trade, but what is worse is when we could have brought in first and second round picks in the 2018, 2019 and 2020 drafts...
Because West Coast is our club.
As has been well documented in recently we have been very, very lucky throughout the history of our club where we haven't 'bottomed out' for long periods of time. In fact the most we have missed the finals is three years in a row.
There is no doubt in my mind...
Yesterday was our first major hiccup of the year.
We starter strongly, leading at quarter time but Peel got a run on from us from the second quarter and we only kicked one more major after the first break, which was in the last quarter.
I think we've got a good list and I believe we're well...
Very good first-half. Disappointing second, particularly the third, but we won and bank the four points.
Great to end the losing streak against them. It's just the second time we've beaten them since April 2015.
Schumacher has continued his terrific form and he was assisted by the likes of...
I think our midfield is one of the best in the comp.
Barney is a favourite son and we all love the success we had with him as our skipper. However, he was terrible with our players when he was our coach, which is why we lost so many under his watch.
I'm really looking forward to this season...
Pleased for AT bringing up his half-century. Truly hope he goes on to make a matching winning innings. A great player who has been starved for opportunities in the Sheffield Shield. Here's hoping he converts on road to a WA victory!
It was a pleasure to watch WA on Wednesday. Bloody brilliant. Fear not South Australian fans, it wasn't that long ago when we (WA) couldn't beat an egg or challenge a title, so I'm sure Dizzy is presiding over stregnthening of your cricket program.
Bison and Stobbo were good today.
I think there's a really argument to be made for picking Turner in the side at the expense of Hardie. His shield form this season has been very vanilla.
I've got a Coodabeen Champions CD at home. Doesn't get much of a spin these days but pretty good nonetheless.
It's a shame that all the classic footy songs seemed to have stopped after the 90s/early 00s.
No doubt the WACA's last development (01-02 from memory) really set the stadium back.
There's still room for it to be a 25K seat stadium which is exactly what it needs to be. Any cricket matches which do not exceed that should remain at the WACA.
