I really don't understand why anyone feels the need to justify that we deserve a decent second round pick for Rioli, or Port fans suggesting that he's not worth that much. According to all reports Port has offered him between $500 & $600K a season for 4 years with no conditions. That's the only...
Surely no-one is surprised now. He made it pretty clear what he wanted, and went for a medical with Port. Dog act for sure, but get what we can and move on. At least we won't have to be nervous every time the previous Rioli thread is bumped in the future, because he is bound to do something...
His intentions are pretty clear. If I was the eagles I would seriously be thinking about withdrawing our offer, stop all support for him, confirm that we will try and facilitate a trade for him to his club of choice (but on our terms), but if it's not acceptable to us he goes into the draft.
I must say that this season I am so disinterested in the AFL that I really couldn't give a stuff about Cripps getting off (or Kelly getting done TBH). I do have to say though that these sort of inconsistencies have been happening for as long as I can remember.
Absolute gun. Anyone can have a crack at him for his brain fades and stupid errors, but his stats speak for themself. Also, incredibly consistent and durable. His work rate up and down the ground is outstanding and the amount of contests that he at least halves when he has no right to is elite...
Horses for courses of course, and who knows what the club is thinking, but surely with the amount of footy that Chesser has missed over the last few years any game time that they can get into him would be a plus.
My experience is a little different to Rowan18. The Health Dept certainly rang me the day after I tested +ve. I think there were around 3,500 who tested +ve the day I did so I thought that it was a mighty effort for them to be in touch the next day. I guess that the numbers are just to great now...
While not really on topic, it might be worth mentioning this again. I use the chromecast with google tv and I have never had a problem streaming Kayo, I reckon Kayo is brilliant.
Players have been in a bubble for basically the last two seasons, they've still got lives to live and as others have mentioned many with young families who are going to get exposed to it.
Not a good feeling about this one, the Vic media are going hard on the AFL for an appeal (simply to save face because they were so happy to support the original suspension). Wouldn't be completely surprised of the appeal happens and Willie gets a couple.
I tested +ve last Tuesday. Coming to the end of it now. Had real sore throat, lots of coughing, headaches on and off and short of breath. Muscles were sore for about one day. Spent about one day sleeping. All in all pretty mild, but still not pleasant and just a weird sickness. Wife caught it...
There is plenty of supply of vaccines now and we're lagging behind in the vaccination rate. Remember McGowan's vaccination rate is based on above age 12. The carrot isn't working and quite frankly (while it doesn't affect me directly) I can't see how WA can possibly be opened up with the targets...
If they've let Lyon in I can't see any reason that Eddie isn't allowed (apart from of course lying on his application form to try and get his kids in).
I, like others, have lost a bit of interest in the AFL this year and I'm struggling to get excited about the finals and at this point in time couldn't give a stuff if any or all of them are in WA. The fact that the eagles have been so disappointing might have something to do with it, but then...
I'm struggling to see why Kennedy should be forced in retirement. Whether we like it or not, he's still our number one key forward. If someone wants his spot let them earn it, make sure that they are a better option than what Kennedy is. Comparisons to the end of Cox's career are crazy, Cox had...
But, but, but, he's overweight, lazy, 2 dodgy knees and no football nous.
What a legend! I still feel cheated that we were robbed of basically 3 years of what would have been his peak years. Huge effort to get here.
There's a grab from an interview that he did yesterday (I think with 6PR) where he clearly states that Mitchell was the best coach, specifically mentioning that he was better than Simpson & Worsfold.
I also agree that NSW was right to back their system. While other States are happy to blame NSW in hindsight, they must have been backing them in as well otherwise they (particularly WA) would have tightened the border control from NSW earlier.
