Here's the first part of a short story I started writing a few weeks ago. I ran it past REH and LR who both asked me to finish it, which I will in coming weeks. If I don't, feel free to cajole me. Hope you enjoy...
Shizzle.

LONGEST. PRESEASON. EVER. Or so it seems to me.
A thread to help in some small way to pass the damn days until footy is back.

Firstly, sorry to be a bit self-centric making a thread like this about my movements.
After 12 years in Japan (yep, I missed the 2004 premiership live), I am finally returning to live in Adelaide. It seems like a lifetime I've been over here, and in fact it is most of my Bigfooty life.
A job...
Wow ... what a fantastic insight into the group. I don't wanna take the lid too far off, but I have a touch of that 2004 feeling at the moment, but even moreso than that year, with the skill, hardness, pace and from reading this article ... supreme tight-knit qualities of this group. We may...

Borrowed a few colorful lines from some of our posters, and even a few disillusioned Crowies ... haha
It doesn't seem to want to play in the browser for me - might have to hit the youtube button
The flu will do that to ya ...
Already posted it in another thread but it was kinda fun to make and I thought it would have more chance of getting a few looks in its own thread.

2014 Season Preview: Ken Hinkley one-on-one - Parts 1 and 2
It’s early on a Tuesday afternoon when I sidle into the Port Adelaide football department on the upper floor of Allan Scott Power Headquarters in Alberton.

Is it fair to say that is the finest quarter by a young player in many years?
Ollie Wines, SIXTEEN high-pressure possessions and a goal in the last quarter v the Pies.
Thread shamelessly copied from the Swans' board:
(1) We really can match it with the best if we all put in 100%
(2) Lobbe can carry the ruck in the absence of Big Red
(3) The team can carry a very ordinary full-back if everyone else plays well enough together
Is there any restriction / rule on players and gambling? Is it only footy they are not allowed to gamble on? A mate of mine was telling me about having been doing a certain activity with a few of the boys.
For starters he seems too short. 192 cm is the same as Wakes, taller than Paxman and a fraction shorter than Meady, but he doesn't seem to play that tall. Maybe it's coz he hardly gets off the ground, I don't know.
I'm just now watching the Geelong game, and he is like a midget alongside...
Is fast becoming my favorite player!
Wins 99% of 1 on 1s, never out of it, such excitement when he has the ball and a paddock in front of him!
So clever.
Discuss.

Sorry for starting this off Macca, but I'm done writing and yours isn't up yet.
Wow ... just wow!! Wasn't expecting that at all tonight! The scotch n cokes may be talking a bit in my comments, but here's how I saw it.
We did EXACTLY what we've criticised them of not doing for years, tonight...
Why doesn't our club take more initiatives like this? Fantastic work by Roos, and ironically, something more likely to have been attempted by Choco.

... is that even in the middle of the current s**t sandwich, Harlett looks more and more like a young Buckley in the way he moves and plays, every time I see him.
By the time this team gets back to some form, he should be a superstar.
