I dont think its being greedy. Its more an every man has his price scenario, and imo that should be ours. This is what we're happy to do for pick 1, anything more and we view our current hand as a better option.
Until any such time that they move games from AAMI Park, which is not going to be in the short to medium term future, then it won't affect too many fans negatively, and is probably a pretty solid move both operationally, financially and in terms of community engagement. Play on.
Clearly both Joyce and Mombaerts weren't particularly impressed with what he showed at training. Perhaps he's not the player we all thought he might have been.
I'm comfortable with Bouzanis fwiw.
Really?
Brillante has been a key cog in a title winning side over the last three seasons. He's not as glamorous as Brattan sure, but he's far more consistent and ultimately imo, a far better 6. Windbichler's resume is fantastic, and as good a replacement as we could possibly ask for on paper...
Totally disagree. You don't win trophies with marquee defenders. There's a total dearth of Australian attacking stocks, so to win the A League you've got to invest your marquee $$$ there.
Shattered to lose Bart obviously, but by all reports we offered him as big an under the cap deal as we...
I like to think that should JMac be presented with some of those chances Wales has been on the end of, he'll put them away. He's no star imo, but he's a very good finisher.
No way, they'd be definitely making gains on their returns. They pumped in 15m of capital in training facilities, plus the 11m paid for the acquisition, but those are capital assets they'll get a return on when/if they sell. Their operations might be running at a 1-2 mil loss per season like...
Well put although I think a lot of people fail to understand the difference between a dive and accentuating contact. IMO Bruno is firmly in the 2nd camp, I've not once seen him 'dive'. Indeed very few players actually dive in the A League.
20 point wins and losses in every game would see us still miss to PA by about 1%. I dont think its an overly amazing sequence of results, but its a specific set of results amongst multiple sets all equally as possible as each other if that makes sense. Bottom line is if we won 13 and dont make...
It's actually not at all.

That scenario involves Swans losing all 3 games, Port beating WC at home, Geel beating Haw, WC beating Melb at home, Melb beating GWS in the last round. The rest of...
From memory the Roos preferred Ballarat over Tassie but had no guarantees it would ever get up (the pre-election promise with Labor obv fell through when the lost the election) and so hedged their bets with Tassie. AFL saw the opportunity to funnel the Dogs in there and did so. Dogs already had...
Tbf there needs to be a bit of context around that situation. There had always been a guest player rule which was at the time between 10-14 games, but you had to meet a marketability criteria basically at the FFA's discretion to be granted the slot.
Cahill became available going into the season...
As a Ballarat raised NM supporter, i attended Sunday which was my first time out of the three AFL games that have been scheduled there.
I believe that the AFL in Ballarat can be pretty successful, but they need to pay a bit more attention to how to make it so. A few points :
Local footy in...
Not really. This rule being introduced has been mooted for months.
Still, only the FFA could cut restrictions in the league by adding more restrictions.
Major upgrade. Always found him pretty unlikable as an opposition fan but he's hard as nails and very much quality as a DM. Offers a terrific set piece target too.
