"To be honest, I can't remember what was said..."
I call BS on that. He remembers. Most likely Sicko was expressing his disgust over the way Fellwood plays the game...
I'm feeling such a mixture of excitement and disgust that I was compelled to log in for the first time in a couple of years, just to see what everyone else is saying.
Firstly, the hawks are looking damn good. I'm super encouraged by what I see, and I haven't been all that impressed with the...
context. this is how close we are. hawks will be right in the mix come september. we must be doing something right to have a percentage like this.
btw, has anyone else noticed that it's been the first quarters that we've sucked the most at, only to come back with a gradual build of momentum...
quality of play aside, the hawks have the highest percentage in the league at the moment. over the years I've noticed that teams who do well in the finals are the ones with the best percentage, more so than the teams with high win:loss ratios.
try and imagine what's going to happen when the...
a lot of teams have been doing that to us (e.g. port, sydney). it hurts us early as we struggle to score, but helps us later because it is tiring to implement. this is why we have been recovering strongly from poor starts...
how secure is shiels with cyril and sewell waiting in the wings? simpkin should be under consideration, and dureya might be under the pump as well.
I would be reluctant to drop ceglar for mcevoy, because cegs has had recent exposure to finals pressure. he's also done a pretty decent job.
it's a...
I thought the umpires were supposed to protect the head, even against accidental contact? full punch in the nose? off for the blood rule and that's it.
what about that non-htb in the freo f50? end result - a goal to the dockers. home town decisions. grow some stones, umpires...
buddy was a great player. I love watching him strut his stuff (still do!), but from an unemotional perspective, he was a hit and miss player, making him somewhat inefficient and unreliable (he kicked goals in almost every game, but his erratic kicking meant that he could often be a low...
I would have ceglar and spang ahead of shoe as both have already shown themselves to be harder at the contest, better judges of the ball in flight, better users of their body, more reliable with their disposal, and better at making decisions under pressure.
shoe has an advantage of body size...
the difference between running infrequent short sprints with walking rests, and frequent longer sprints with running in between is quite significant for someone with a chronic hamstring...
what about an expert with foresight? I predicted he would get an injury from his sudden increase in workload, especially jumping. also predicted rioli's last two hamstring injuries. they went within a game of me saying he was at risk of relapse. same goes with tennis players and fast bowlers...
the trouble is that if you reach out with your hand your foot automatically goes out, too. it's pretty harsh to make that reportable.
back in my soccer playing days I jumped up for a header, but as I leaped and tried to get as high as possible I drove upwards with my arm. my hand hit the ball...
